Through my 10 years in LA, I've utilized many different storage units from different storage companies for both business and personal use and THIS location was BY FAR THE WORST. The heavyset manager, Ray, is a smarmy, creepy, despicable person who, at first, feigns politeness. But each time you return, he gets nastier. I went in to get a quote on a 5 x 10 storage space- I have had 5 x10 before so I know what the space looks like. I was shown what looked to be a 3 x 7 for almost $250 a month. Two blocks away I was quoted $165 for a 6 x 13, which looked to be actually 6 x 13. When I mentioned to the customer service representative (who was polite by the way, so I'm not putting anything on him) why they would say this space was 5 x 10 when it most definitely was not, he replied that all spaces were an "approximation." I went to retrieve items from my storage today after my lock wouldn't open last night. Not sure why that happened, but I was able to lubricate the lock and get it open despite climate control issues which must be the culprit for freezing the mechanism. A new lock should not be tight after two months without use. As I was leaving the unit this afternoon I tried to find someone in the office to unlock the dumpster. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Manager is rude and unhelpful. Their operation is disorganized. I was turned away for business past 5:30pm although the office is supposed to be open until 6pm. The rude employee advised that he's there alone and plans to be out of there by 6pm and to come at 5:30pm. Call center gave the wrong hours information. Why deal with such a place when there a so many other options?? Also their price points are not competitive. AVOID THIS PLACE if you value good helpful service and cooperation. BAD BAD ... read more

This is the thing: Positive: I feel like the unit is safe. Super positive: Wendy who manages the site is an angel. Negative: Damn Expensive! Got the first month free. Unit started at $89/month for 5X5 Now 15 months later my rate went up to $149/month! I called for a discount, the lowest they brought it to was $139/mo. I'm out.
**SCAMMERS** I AM SO FED UP WITH THEIR RATE CHANGES!!!! Reading complaints from other sites I see people saying they had 2 rate hikes in 18 months.... I just received my 5th (the 1st one only 3 months in) and I am done dealing with these crooks. What started out to be convenient and affordable has turned out to be nothing but a scam. DON'T DO IT!!!!
I have used storage facilities on the Westside, and in NYC and all I can say is this place does not seem on the up and up. The first space I reserved was big enough but my large piece of furniture couldn't fit through the turn in the hallway, so I was obliged to take a larger (much more expensive) space than intended. Based on the positive reviews here, we thought this would be our best choice for local storage. We signed up online and reserved a space late on Saturday afternoon. Shortly thereafter we realized that the office was closed on Sunday and therefore we would need to hurry and get over to the facility before 5:30 to be sure to be able to move things this weekend.
