Beware they will raise the cost of your rental unit without warning within *months* of your signing up. Is this even legal? They don't tell you that they'll raise your rent to "market rate" when they gladly take your money when you first rent a unit. Extra space storage is a huge scam!!! They have purchased many fake five-star reviews on Google Maps. Look how many of those people have only reviewed this place and nowhere else! Re: Extra Space reply below. My experience was bad. It all started when a year ago. I reserved a $122 5x10 space then turned out to be $152, i was ok with it, then a few months after i was notified a rent increase was coming and my rent will go upto $182 but now exactly a year rent will go up $ 237. Thats just crazy and you can see the same space being posted now for a lot less. Way to go Extra Space Storage, very nice way to thank loyal customers. I must say that the staff and management of the facility do a great job. They have always been helpful, courteous and friendly. The facility is clean and well-kept. The units are clean, secure, well-lit and ventilated. So why such a low rating? This is now the second time that I entered into a 'promotional rate' (although neither time, did I see it disclosed when I booked) and within a few months the rates are dramatically increased. THIS IS A COMPANYWIDE POLICY AND TACTIC SO IT AFFECTS ALL LOCATIONS, NOT JUST THE ONE I RENTED FROM. Do not rent from Extra Space Storage. 1. Hidden in their agreement is that they can (and do) raise your rent at any time. 2. After ONE MONTH at the advertised rate that I signed up for ($167/mo) they raised it by 50%!!! 3. After being at ExtraStorage for about 10 years, I will be looking for another facility. After dropping off my Christmas decorations in January I return to retrieve some folding chairs in April and found that my indoor 5x5 unit had been broken into. I went to the office and asked why a red lock was on my unit and the person looked up my account and said it had been broken into. My storage until was broken into TWICE within the last year. Shanie was helpful enough, I liked her but there is gross negligence in preventing theft at this facility. The first break in, the lock was broken in pieces, they had cut the lock - (there were several other units also broken into at this time as well) - I reported to police and nothing was recovered. my storage unit along with a few other units at this location were robbed...i talk to the girl in the office who by the way was super rude didn't care at all about the incident i asked her if she could please check the surveillance cameras of course her answer was NO... so the cameras must not be there for security reason...F**k this place its obvious somebody working there is setting up and allowing these robberies to take place

I have two large storage units here. Have had them for a while. I'm a good customer. They still won't let you use the restroom. I think it's really lame after all this time to not let a good customer wearing a mask use the bathroom.
They steal your stuff and sell it. Like many storage places, they make most of their money from people who miss a payment and have their storage auctioned off. The difference here is that they do not notify you that you are late with a payment. We got a storage locker here and when we got a new credit card we forgot to update our card with them.
