My unit had the lock cut for no reason my bill was paid .I have spoken to several people asking why my lock was cut and put inside my unit this particular location is shady the guy at the front desk just lied right to my face when he said he would check the cameras too see if he seen anything. I am so very disappointed. Last month, after using this facility for almost 2 years, I noticed my unit had been broken into and good chunk of my items were missing. The lock was not cut and I’m sure it was picked. When I brought this up the lady at the front desk she did not admit there had been any break ins recently. I wasn’t even notified that there had been a break in. Even worse, the insurance company they use denied my claim because I couldn’t prove someone stole my items. Bad business. Never stepped foot on to the property but got charged full amount and refused to be given a refund. Pitiful! I could understand a partial refund, but none at all?!? Rip off. Better Business Bureau was contacted and corporate. Im disgusted at the lack of customer service there was and denying you have information for corporate that I have to ****** it. I’ve been using this storage for 4 months and I’ve never had any issues until I had the displeasure of dealing with Michael Williams. I typically deal with Tracy and she is very polite and is willing to help without any opposition. However, Michael on the other hand is unfriendly, rude, and makes things difficult for no apparent reason. He claims he’s following “rules” when he denied me information and hung up on me when I was talking to him on the phone. The people that work at this facility are incompetent. They have been charging us for their insurance monthly without our knowledge. When we got the unit we provided a copy of our renters insurance. The employee apparently put both of our policies on just the one unit instead of both units and did not notify us that one of the units shoe=we’d no insurance which is incorrect. We contacted them and they were very rude stating there was nothing they could do but transfer the correct policy to the correct storage unit. We asked ... read more

There has been so many break ins at life storage that the staff are lazy, and inconsiderate regarding customers property. There is no accountability regarding the St. Louis locations. Very please be aware of this company do not store your property there and do it work for this company. PLEASE BEWARE!!!!

They sold my stuff without letting me know! No phone call no email. They just sent me an email after they sold my thing already! I was a bit behind my payment dew to some work difficulties, but I called to the office and representative said that I can come to the office to make a payment and that my stuff are safe. A week later I received an email that my stuff are sold and I ve been moved out! This is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional! I lost my things which were important to me! I've been a customer with *************************************************************** in **********, ** since 2016 (since before it was even purchased by/rebranded to ExtraSpace). I go there maybe 4 times a year to pack and unpack holiday decorations, and other than that, just pay my bill and have never had any issues.Tonight we went to our storage unit at 8:30pm to start cleaning it out. One important detail I left out.. Even will all of this, we were all out of the gate by 10:05pm and pulled into my driveway at home at 10:10pm. If it weren't for having to deal with the manager, we would have been out be 10:01pm to 10:02pm.. All this over 120 seconds....
