My husband and I applied for a HELOC on their secure portal and within 1 hour we had various small nobody lenders calling to offer home loans to both our personal cells...and they know how much we requested! This went on for about a week with about 20 unsolicited calls! It's obvious that our information was shared by either them or the bureau they use. We complained, but they pretended they had no clue...I'm sure I'm not the only one. This is unprofessional and dangerous to the consumer.

After 8 hours of trying to order checks from my business account via mobile app or on the phone they said the cell I had for 22 years was incorrect as well as my mothers maiden name ?! Lol what in the world simple thing turned into a big deal ... gonna switch to a different credit Union . P.S. the response from management was immediate and helpful ! Thank you , Lisa!!!!

I had a business tax question to ask Fairwinds and I finally hung up after a 25-minute hold. Unfortunately, I was asked every minute if I wanted a return call or to remain in the queue. I finally disconnected after 30 minutes.
I have been a member with FAIRWINDS since 2014 and I can honestly say that they have gone down with their quality I use to love my bank now I hate it with a passion unprofessional call reps and they're always taking money randomly out of your account and you have to call and get transferred from department to department just to finally get someone who knows what they're doing but by that time your account is in the negative bc it took damn near 4 days just to get a resolution I have recently switched to chase bc I just could... read more
If you just want a bank for a saving or checking account they are very good. Any other banking needs don't waste your time. I applied for a motorcycle loan. Fairwinds requested the seller accompany me to the DMV to add Fairwinds as a lien holder. The bike is 2 hours away from my county. Fairwinds would not allow me to go to a DMV near the sellers home, they expected him to drive 2 hours and use a local DMV office. Just walk away... literally putting your money into a trashcan is better than this company. Their website literally doesnt show your account numbers, you cannot modify any security questions, and god forbid you live out of state. I'm actively trying to pay off my auto-loan with them and it's like pulling teeth. I mean I know you want interest on the loan, but if im trying to give you money take it. Trash bank.
They blocked my atm 5-6 time in 1 month during covid because I get paid monthly and pay my bills and shop in the first 2-3 days of payment. Nothing I have not been doing in the last 3 years. I kept telling them this but it continued. Now they charge a pending fee... meaning even if a pending charge appears but has not posted they charge you 35 dollars because at the time of the pending charge you do did not have the fund. This is not a complaint, those days are over. This is an observation by a 20 year customer that saw a great community credit union turn in to a greedy corporate bank ( you know ...the ones that convince you to join a credit union in the first place). 2 mortgages, 3 auto loans, 2 savings accounts and one checking account gives me the right to comment honestly.
