They give very cheap deals online, but when you go there to pick your car, you will end up paying more. They will say that they don't have a car you have rented.. * Either wait for hours * Or pay more for upgrade (final Fox rental rate will be much more than other rental cars like Hertz Avis etc.. online rate). I rented a car out of your Denver, Colorado location this past week and I am extremely unhappy with the whole process. Back in February I reserved a premium vehicle (Dodge Charger) as a surprise for my husbands 30th birthday. I reserved a car with Fox Rent a Car for May 12th ,2018. I had to cancel the reservation a month before the date I was to pick up the car. They sent me an email confirmation with a confirmation number. When I called to cancel, the confirmation number they sent me meant nothing, they could not find my reservation. In bold print, it stated that there would be a $70 fee for cancellation, longer than 24 hours in advance of the pick up. I cancelled and they charged me the FULL CHARGE of the car rental . My Flight was delayed 1 day, so I called Fox to let them know I would be 1 day late picking up car and they told me they could not hold the car and would release it to another renter and since I prepaid they would not refund me my $500 dollars. BE AWARE THAT FOR CAR RENTAL DOES NOT HONOR CAR RESERVATIONS AFTER 3 HOURS PAST PICKUP TIME. PLANE CANCELLED BY AMERICAN BUT FOX WOULD NOT HONOR RESERVATION. I'm not sure I even know where to begin to start! We got off of a 4 hour flight to take a 15 min tram to wait in line for nearly 2 hours to pick up our rental car. As soon as I got to the counter, I was haggled to "upgrade" my Elantra to a Jetta for $30 more. That's when I asked if it was total, or per day. My experience with this car rental was a nightmare. I felt pressured and threatened right from the start. I did not want any "extras" (insurance, toll fees, etc.). They tried to push the toll fee daily rate on me. I explained I would not go through tolls on my trip. They threatened I would be paying double per day. After signing some shady disclosures I went to choose a car. The cars were dented, older and dirty. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Seriously, I'm 30 and this was without a doubt the most horrific experience I have ever had dealing with a business. How they have been able to remain in business is beyond my belief. They commit fraud, lied directly to my and my wife's face and were extremely aggressive towards us when we tried to call them out on their **. I'll also add shame on priceline.com for allow them to be a vendor through their website.
RESERVED A CAR AND THE PRICE WAS 267 BUT WHEN I CAME AND PICKED IT UP, IT WAS 569. CALLED AND FIND OUT WHY, NOT NO ONE ON THE LINE AFTER ABOUT 30 MIN OF WAITING ON THE FIRST TRY. SAME RESPONSE ABOUT 20 MIN LATER AFTER THE SECOND TRY. WENT ONLINE AND PUT IN MY RESERVATION TO CANCEL IT AND IT WAS NOT FOUND. WENT THE FOX LIVE CHAT LINE AND IT SAYS THAT NO ONE IS AVAILABLE. SOMEONE NEEDS TO SUE THIS COMPANY FOR FRAUD. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. DONT EVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY
