I made the mistake of booking this rental car before checking reviews and paid the price. For starters the rental car facility is offsite and you will have to ride a shuttle to get there, which isn't the end of the world just a little bit inconvenient. Now on to the bad. When we arrived the line was out the door and there were only 2 employees assisting customers. It took over 2 hrs to get up to the counter. Typical bait and switch. We booked an economy car for $78, arrived at the airport and it wasn't available, so they UPCHARGED us to another class we didnt ask for. They should comp for the error, not make me pay more.

If there was a zero star thats what they would receive from me. First off it was a last minute trip and no other company had cars in the area but Fox did. That should have been the first red flag. My wife and I rented a midsize car and when we got to the rental location, which was well off the airport property, we were told to pick anything in the section 6 area. Well we ended up with a black Kia Soul. Thought it was a cute little car you know the whole hamster commercial etc. Anyway we get in and the car is filthy and still... read more

Not having our reserved car available, forced to upgrade which caused price to go up. In addition to the price going up we were upgraded to a V8 from a 4-cylinder causing our gas mileage to be worse. Car needed new breaks and rotors Steering wheel stuck when turning Car was filthy, not detailed or cleaned Workers had no answers for any questions we asked for instance; Why are reserved car was not their. I had rented a car and left my bag in the backseat. When I went to drop the car off they rushed me out of the car didn't even check the inside. The minute I got back to where I was staying I realized I left the bag in the car. For three days I tried to get a hold of someone and nobody called me back. I had to uber to the airport to finally talk to somewhere where they told me they did not have my bag. I knew for sure I left the bag in the car because I never took it out of the car. Fox Rent a car certainly lives up to its name. They are Sly as a fox. They give you a rental car price when you rent on line, even through a 3rd party on-line company such as Expedia or CarRentals.com. I was promised a Dodge charger for a week long stay in Phoenix AZ. The price quote was $145.61. They don't even carry those types of cars. They claimed to then "upgrade me for free" to a Camero. I ended up getting the insurance which they told me was $100 total. Do NOT rent a car from Fox Rent-a-Car. They double charged me because they wouldn't honor my prepayment from online. I had my credit card replaced due to fraudulent charges and because it had a different number (even though it was the same card) they told me the only way to rent a car that day was to repay everything. Management at the store told me to contact my credit card company and they could cancel the charges. DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM "FOX RENT A CAR" I need to report this company to the BBB due to my unbelievable experience. I recently rented a car from Fox Rent A Car and it's the worst experience ever!! I was trying to save a buck or two and they had the best rate at the time...what a horrible mistake! This is the worst car rental experience I've ever encountered. Hi there, I recently rented a car from Fox Rent A Car and it's the worst experience ever!! I was trying to save a buck or two and went with them...what a horrible mistake! This is the worst car rental experience I've ever encountered. There were 5 people ahead of me and it took over 30+ minutes before they got to me.
