FOX RENTAL CAR AGENCY I have to say this was the WORST rental experience I have ever had. I reserved my car thru Expedia two months prior. When we got to the rental center there was ONE agent and the line was at least 15 customers deep. Another agent showed up 25 min later. By the time I got to the agent he said he had to close and go on a break. I got back in line. At that time the line was at least 20 customers deep. Fox Rental was a huge disappointment. We were charged much more than advertised, did not get the car we requested. The car we received was dirty. Their reason was because they don't use soap because of the animal environment. We refused first dirty car, and the second was not much better. They said they don't accept AAA or AARP,

While leaving the Denver airport location in July of last year, the vehicle in front of me suddenly went into reverse and backed into the car I rented. It happened quickly and I was unable to back-up to avoid the collision. The damage was to the hood and because of the chaos of the scene (the other driver and family were very confused and clearly had trouble with basic driving skills), I offered to continue to drive this car. This place is a joke! Both my son and I had reservations for San francisco airport location. We arrived and heard them telling the gentleman ahead of us that he was 12 hours late for his reservation and his van had been given away. Well guess what? We're up next only to be told that there was no mini van for us either. Why? We weren't late. I rented a car through AAA from your organization. When picking up the car, after it had already been paid, we were required to pay more than the rental in fees! Since the car was already paid for there was nothing we could do about it. Also required were roadside assistance, which we already had and didn't need- $41.93. We needed a booster and in your entire store you couldn't find a complete booster with a back, but we were still required to pay $12.99 for a booster that is not even as safe, being that it is missing half o... read more

The process started out OK, pick up went fine, and we had to add on another driver which they were able to accommodate easily. When I was on my way to the airport early on a Monday morning and stopped to get gas, the car wouldn't start again. An error message came on saying that it needed maintenance. I was wracking my brain trying to figure out what had happened between getting gas and trying to leave that would cause an issue, maybe the wrong type of gas or something (not the case), and called roadside assistance. Don't enter this nightmare. First they tried to rent us an beat up, scratched up, dirty SUV. After I refused, they gave us a better one, but the inside of the front window looked like it had been wiped down with a muddy towel. So dirty I had to stop right away and do my own cleaning job. Don't count on any extras on the vehicle. This full size SUV did not even have air conditioning in the rear half of the vehicle. Ok, then to top that off...billing. Terrible customer service. The last day of our trip before heading to the airport in Liberia, Costa Rica, we found our car had a flat tire. We called customer service and were told to change to the spare. We went to the get the spare and found it had multiple holes in the wall of the tire. We were highly upset as we traveled through the mountains and could have been left with no spare or a way to contact or friends or family. This company would not give back all our money when we cancelled 3 weeks before we needed car. They had plenty of time to rent it to some one else. They said there was a place on contract telling of cancelation policy that they e -mailed. The contract was 6 pages long with small print. Nobody reads contracts like a car rental place.
