WORST Car rental ever and WORST customer service. HIDDEN FEES ALERT. The rental broke down last day of rental and we phoned and they instructed us on how to safely abandon the car so they can pick up and we had a real stress catching our flight home having to make alternative arrangements. Got the bill and we got charged for TOWING & EARLY return (!) ... after contacting customer service which was the most unfriendly condescending conversation ever they begrudgingly removed the towing and early return fee but still ended up ... read more

Absolutely a scam. Charged me daily even though I already paid on Priceline. Charged fuel charges even though the tank was full. Over charged me $1000 all for lies . Can't get through to someone who can actually help and the manager was verbally abusive when pressed on the matter.

I rented a car at Orlando Florida Airport from Fox car rental. I had a reservation through ************ They did not honor the agreed upon price. They told me I had to pay *** a day extra up front for tolls so that was like **** extra...then they consider that a separate transition allowing them to charge me all kinds of fees in excess of the *********** price. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. THEY COMMIT FRAUD. My girlfriend and I are both serving in the Armt together and just spent the last year on a deployment. She was able to fly home before me and rented a car from Fox via Expedia. Upon arrival she was told that they don't accept debit cards. Eventhough her card was already charged the full amount. I rented a car at the Denver Airport from Fox Rent a Car. I reserved it for $ 376. when I check out I assumed the receipt was in the package for checkout so I didn't review it. The only thing in the brochure packet I realized later was information about the original reservation, they neglected to provide the receipt at check out so I wouldn't know at the time they had raised my four day rate from $ 375. to $ 825. Fox Rent A Car in Denver is misleading and sneaky. I admit I tend to be a trusting person in that I a don't assume people are out to get me. I wish I had read the reviews prior to picking up my vehicle. While I successfully resisted several upcharges (upgrade, tolls, etc), I fell for one and feel like I was completely mislead into two. 1) I added a second driver. A mysterious $50 upsell charge was added to my bill even though I never agreed to it. For a one day rental that originally cost $40. I was never given a copy of my rental agreement and didn't see the charge until after I returned the call and got an email for my receipt. I then walked back from the terminal to the counter where the agent said that the upsell charge would be returned to my credit card. Nope. Called customer service. They offered a discount to my next rental. Like I'd ever use them again.

The price seemed good until we got there. We bought the insurance which we expected to pay more for. My sister was going to drive also had to pay extra for her. Was told that we would go through toll roads and would need to have platepass. Ching ching extra money. We never did go through any toll areas. We had told them the exact routes we were going and they said we would go through 4 toll's. Afterwards when I returned the car I told them how they misled. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! They basically stole from me. I didn't look up any reviews of Fox because I figured they were trustworthy if they were partnered with Priceline. Anyway, I booked a car with them through Priceline. We were given no communication about what to bring other than some form of payment in the name of the driver.
