They were prompt, worked very quickly (large crew) however; sloppy. I know nothing about roofing, so for me to be able to see flashing that did not align properly in 3 different places does not give me confidance about things I can not see. Also, they were only fair in picking up the old roofing and nails. They did return this morning (2/13/2010) to replace the really "bad" places, only after I asked them to remove the yard sign as I would not recommend them to neighbors at this time.
It went very well. I had not one moment of frustration. The workers skillfully and efficiently replaced the old roof, left no Debris or nails behind . The Foreman came to inspect their work in the last hours before completion of the roof. Their Sales Rep worked patiently and diligently with me and my Insurance Company.
It took a LOT of phone calls to get them to come out for an estimate. Then it took a LOT more phone calls to schedule the actual work. Then there was a mix-up on the actual work date and they showed up 4 days early! But, I have a beautiful roof. They worked long and hard and did a wonderful job of explaining what they were doing, cleaning up afterward, etc. I could have used several other roofing contractors but Garcia was the only one to give a written estimate without asking about insurance reimbursement. The whole experience was good. Craig, the estimator, came out as scheduled and gave us a comprehensive quote. Since our former shingles were not available any longer, Craig gave us several addresses to ride by to see if we liked those choices. The team came by as scheduled and worked in a timely and neat manner. Whenever any adjustments had to be made (due to damage) I was notified and given a quote immediately. A very detailed estimate was provided. Questions about installation techniques were answered, and additional information was volunteered by the agent. A newer shingle with higher wind rating was ordered in response to my request. While this took an extra week to arrive, I did not have a schedule constraint. The company also provided locations of completed roof installations for my viewing, and suggested alternative roof colors to help narrow my choices. Site visit (3/27), proposal received (4/10) and signed (5/22) and work started (6/20) and completed (6/21). Work done thoroughly and professionally. All debris (old shingles, nails, etc.) removed. Very pleased with quality of work and personnel. Will recommend Garcia's Roofing to others.
Anthony, the supervisor, went up on the roof, marked the spots where they proposed to install the turbines and explained what the job entailed. The installer arrived on time and did a very professional job. Anthony came back and checked out the finished product. Garcia replaced my roof a couple of years ago and did an excellent job. Avoid Garcia Roofing at all costs!!! I booked them for new gutters for a 4-sided shotgun-style roof and it took 16 months to get it done. I feel like a total sucker for using them. Read my story and know that this is how you will be treated. When I booked the job, they took my 50% deposit and said it would be completed in 3-4 weeks.
