Service is excellent 9/10 times. Called over the weekend to get my nails done and the front desk lady was just not interested in helping me. They were booked and instead of looking up different locations on my behalf, I had to go down the list of all locations and ask if they had any openings. Like, c'mon girl help me out here, this is your job!

I had a brow wax before I had a relaxation massage and the technician asked if I was having a maternity massage. I told her I wasn't pregnant and she said, "so you just had your kids" ... nope, wrong again. Needless to say, I didn't go into my massage feeling relaxed at all - I was in tears. If it wasn't for my hair stylist Tim and colorist Niko, im not sure i would be coming back. The reason i say this is bc your whole experience from the time you check in to when you leave should be awesome but its NOT. The check in staff have ok service. but when you leave to pay, in the last year the cashier area isnt well staffed after you get your hair cut and colored. Due to my last couple of experiences of just standing there waiting for 10 mins for someone to come to the counter so i can pay, i ended up going to the sp... read more

I made an appointment cut and color. I arrive 10 minutes before my scheduled time already nervous and not wanting to be there. Wait 15 minutes after my scheduled time to be seen, great start so far. I tell the stylist what I want after back and forth and him not getting what I want he tells me the service I will need will take 2 hours and he has another appointment directly after so he can't make it work though one hour was already mine which he wasted 15 minutes already, he clearly didn't want to do the service or 30% tip ... read more

Not Impressed, at all. Thank God I used a gift card and not my own money because if I had paid full price I would be even more mad than I am now. Came in for a Shellac Pedicure with an added Spa Treatment. The website advertises the Shellac Pedicure as a 60 minute service. The Spa Treatment is advertised as a paraffin treatment, exfoliating scrub and more extensive massage for an additional 15 minutes. I was so excited to treat myself and relax for just over an hour! I have gone to Tim for a number of haircuts. He talks a good game, but does not produce the results. I definitely would not recommend him. He is very high priced for his services and in my case was definitely not worth the money.

I've been going here for years... until, on multiple occasions I saw my loathed aesthetician double dip during our waxing session..... the horror. I've had a viral rash before and my doctor is "pretty sure" that is where it came from...I thought, no wayyyy, not Gene Juarez... but then I paid attention and holy hell... she double dipped every time (went a few times... thought it couldn't be her normal practice). But every damn time... double fricking dipped. I died inside. Lol....Not to mention it's $30 to get your damn brows... read more

I have been coming to Gene Juarez for a few years. Redmond first, and then downtown Bellevue. I have had 5 hair stylists (not by choice) because they are either sicki or leave, and 4 hair colorists, again not by choice. On two different occasion the hair color has been so bad that I have had to come in a 2nd time to fix the problems. Customer service is terrible. The customer service here is a zero. So many places on the Eastside that value their customers - no sense in coming here. My sister came in for a hair appointment (keyword: "appointment") and got yelled at by the stylist who told her she didn't want to stay late to do her hair. Literally. Way to fail, management. This place doesn't have a future in Bellevue with customer service like that.
