More like a locker room! Went to have a massage and facial, my services were fine. However, if you are looking for a luxury spa, this would not be the place. After my services, I wanted to shower, the shower head was clogged, so I had to keep my head really close to the shower head to rinse the shampoo out. So disappointed in the "new" Bellevue Gene Juarez. The huge, amazing locker room with swiss showers and steam room have been downgraded to a pathetic tiny locker room approx 1/8th of the previous one. My massage therapist talked the ENTIRE one hour and I had the luxury of paying $110 for it.The ambiance is no longer there and I will not be going back. :(

Went to the new Bravern location and was quite disappointed in the women's locker room. So small, only 1 shower and 1 changing room. The Galleria location was much better. The waiting area where you receive the complimentary foot soak was also quite small and didn't have the ambiance of the Galleria location. I did received an excellent massage. Over $60 for a men's haircut...and the haircut wasn't even that good. What a joke. I've had better from Sport Clips. with more pampering.

I've had better experience with gj in the past. The first part was shampooing - the guy basically just scrubbed my scalp a few seconds rinse a few more seconds, done. My stylist spent 10 minutes cutting my long hair, but spent 20 mins blow drying/styling. He burnt my hair and scalp.The little girl at the front desk was rude. Charged me wrong the first time and didnt give the right cash for tip, though she insisted and I wasnt gonna argue as it has been a long day for me. I've been a customer of Gene Juarez in Bellevue for many years. I am extremely disappointed with the pedicure experience in the new location at the Bravern. If you go there expecting the private room and spa chair where you would recline with your eyes closed, you will be very disappointed. The new setup is a bench seat with a straight back. The new location is beautiful and modern. Take in the relaxing ambience of the rinsing room with green leafed panels, mood lighting and soft music. While the atmosphere was great and there is excellent customer service in the salon, I walked out with a terrible haircut. It was extremely uneven and my layers were all over the place. I had it redone at another salon and the stylist was appalled that with as much training as Gene Juarez employees supposedly receive, something like my hair would come out of their doors. I have many friends who have had positive experiences there so I am sure some stylists are great but it's not worth the risk for me in the future.

The new location at the Bravern has seriously damaged the desire to receive any spa services at the Bellevue location. The women's changing area is unbelievably cramped. When I went in for a massage, there was already one person using the locker area and we had difficulty maneuvering around each other. By the time I was fully changed, there were three more clients trying to use the area and it just wasn't possible.
