I love Gene Juarez! I have been coming here for years and every time it's absolutely worth it. It's an easy check in process, they offer you coffee or tea while you wait (I love that they serve Market Spice tea!). My hair stylist Sofia did a great job on my hair, she took time to listen to me, was very precise, and styled my hair perfectly. The vibes are very calm, peaceful, and high end. I absolutely recommend Gene Juarez and Sofia (especially if you have long hair)!

I've got a gift card for my daughter to get a Keratin treatment at the West Seattle location. The lady who took care of my daughter did quite a decent job, but I'd recommend Gene Juarez instruct their staff to refrain from making comments about client's accents, etc. The young styler who did my daughter's hair only heard a word out of my mouth, nonetheless, she decided that it was okay to make unwelcome questions and comments to my teenager about my accent after I left. I booked a last-minute appointment with Kendall G before a trip to California, and I couldn't be more grateful that I did. Absolutely love Jene Juarez Salon at University Village! Every visit is an uplifting experience from the moment I walk in. wow.... disappointed at gene juarez. it has a really nice interior, but the workers are all rude and act bratty and the people that cut hair take forever to come get you. I recently went and I had to wait in the waiting room for 20 minutes and they've done that multiple times before. Im super disappointed this place used to be really bougie and nice but now it's just an average salon. Not good service, but my hair always gets cut pretty well which is good. 3 stars.

Leonardo Coronado is the ONLY high-end, individually placed hair extension ARTISTE in the Seattle-area. Worth every penny and a genius. I've had his work for 15 years and no one can believe every hair on my head isn't mine. He is a PRO. And so loyal to his clients. Jumps through hoops to help with scheduling.
No one gives a better short haircut than Katherine Logan. She is kind, attentive to her clients needs, professional, and you also get a fabulous haircut!
Update: A new cut was offered and accepted. This fixed the major issues with from the first cut and ended with a result I was happy with. I still lost length from the first cut and had to return which is why I won't go above 3 stars. If I saw the second stylist first this would've been a 5 star review.

I recently visited this salon for a partial balayage and haircut. Chase F did the balayage, which I wanted to blend in my gray hairs. He did an amazing job. The best color I have ever gotten. Johnny G did the hair cut. I gave him some broad parameters for what I wanted and let him do what he thought would look and work best for my hair. He nailed it. To top it off, they are both really nice people!
