5 stars for the massage staff, locations, swankiness, etc Docking a star cause of the crummy site. Difficult to buy a gift card. Difficult to book an appointment via the site. Also, what's this $4 ESF fee for booking online? I don't wanna pay that. I have to talk to a person to book an appointment still.

I have been getting massages at this Gene Juarez for years. All of the massage therapists here are wonderful, but recently I've been exclusively booking with Sophia. She is absolutely outstanding! She knows exactly where my knots are and isn't afraid to apply a lot of pressure. Moreover, she is extremely kind and easy to talk to; every time I come in, she takes a genuine interest in how I've been doing and the areas I'd like her to focus on. I wish I could give 10 stars, if only for Sophia. She's seriously the best!

Wonderful relaxing spa mani pedi with my sister. There's construction in the area making it a little difficult to locate the parking garage, and the weekends are BUSY! My sister arrived late and could only get a pedicure, but they made sure she was comfortable and had an enjoyable experience after dealing with the stress of locating the spa. I have updated my original review because Colleen came through and really took care of my sister and I. I never thought I would write a negative review about GJ as I've been a loyal customer for many years now. Even when I lived in LA I still flew back to Seattle for all of my hair needs. I came to this location for the first time at the end of September for a haircut and bang trim. Sorry for the late review but I've been busy with school. Since I didn't know any of the stylists here, I opted for "any service professional". Piper was the lovely gal who cut my hair for me and it was probably one of the best cuts I've ever had in my life (not to be dramatic). Keiko did my nails for my wedding. I came to her specifically for a spa manicure and spa pedicure because I knew that not only is she talented but also that she is gentle and safe. My nails were beautiful for my special day and the experience was fun and relaxing. Due to COVID, my large wedding plans turned into a small elopement. I would highly recommend Gene Juarez Salon & Spa. Collin T did an amazing job and my hair has never looked better!! Thank you so much!! The location is also great since it's in U-Village there is ample parking!

I've been to a few GJ locations but this is my favorite. It's tucked away in a corner of U-Village, and I've wondered if maybe people don't realize it's there. The artists and the overall vibe here are chill even when it's busy, as opposed to downtown which has overly loud music and a frenetic energy.
