When we were there, we received excellent care! However, the experience after we moved has been a nightmare. Our last visit to Gentle Dental was 02/2017. 03/2017, I informed Gentle Dental that we would be relocating from WA to CO in May 2017. On 06/17/2017 I made two payments of $295.84 and was told that should cover our account but a bill would be finalized and sent if anything remained. This place is awful if you are considering going there for orthodontic treatment. They only have limited number of appointments and only on certain days of the week for orthodontic treatment. I called to tell them that my daughter's braces were literally coming out of here mouth the soonest date that they could give me to come in was two weeks out (unbelievable). I have been coming to this dental office for about 2years. Just recently experienced some bad service with my appts. I was scheduled for 0900 and confirmed it when I got the text from their office. I get there and it's not until 1030 did not receive any communication from the front clerk so I ask why am I waiting for she said they was going to call me shortly and this was about 0923 and then my son comes out from being seen and said mom your appointment is not till 1030. I hate to give this office 2 stars because my boys love it here since Dr. Granlund was first there and now with Dr. Felix. My oldest also loves Dr. Pawar and we are highly satisfied with the results of his orthodontic treatment. I even started bringing my boyfriend's daughter to this office because of how much my own kids love it here. I've never had any disappointing experience with the oral care my children are getting here. We searched high and low to find a dentist that would fit the needs of our family! We have 2 children on the Autism Spectrum who really need patient hands and a loving heart to service our kids! We thought we had found it;however, after a routine cleaning, Dr. Lawhorne proceeded to "scold" my daughter for the disgusting floss job she had failed to accomplish...he continued to "bully" her until she broke down crying. The worst service ever! They tell you one thing over the phone and then they change it when you get there and say "that person is no longer working here" or "we don't see in our notes..." Not an excuse for providing such terrible service. Never again will I step foot in that place!

I went to the Puyallup office to get a cleaning my first time visit and before even starting my services I gave them our insurance info for tricare. They told me I was covered and I only had to pay a small portion upfront. Then they referred me to Lakewood because I had 3 wisdom teeth that needed to be taken out and I had to pay out of pocket around 600 and that tricare was covering the rest which was no big deal to me to pay. I received notice of lay by end of 2014 and had slight tooth discomfort, thought I'd contact Gentle Dental and scheduled an appointment to get it checked out before my benefits ran out. I was seen on 12/10/14 and after 5 minute visit of x-rays and applying extreme cold on general area I was experiencing discomfort, I was told I needed a root canal on #30.
