V.I.P. Mortgage, Inc. wasn’t started as a company, but as an idea. An idea that the mortgage lending process could be simplified. An idea that the dream of homeownership is very much alive and well. And, an idea that the people working on your loan unders

Processing my application was turned over to a person who apparently left the firm. Nobody informed me. For a couple of weeks I was sending emails and leaving voice mails that were not responded to. Once Geoff got personally involved, things worked well.\n

I feel at beginning communication was great and helpful but later was difficult to reach anyone to explain problem with the Home Owners insurance. Now I have paid Auto Owners the annual amount and also was paid again at escrow. No one has called me back to advise how I can be refunded and who would refund me.

In speaking with Rob Barnes in August we were told that the interest rate would be 2.5% with 1 point fee. Fast forward to a few days before closing Rob calls and says that because they can only lock 30 days ahead of time the rates went up due to Fannie and Freddie increase to 2.625% and then fees were 1.2 points to get the increased rate of 2.625%. PMRI refuses to honor the initially quoted rate and admits it was their error. Very disappointing communication and lack of ownership for mistakes.

I never felt like I was a part of the refinance process. I was given quite a bit of paperwork to sign and financial information to gather with no real explanation as to what for or why. There were individuals that were very helpful. Aly was very helpful and explained everything as we went along.

I felt like there was very little communication from you. I asked several times for a phone call if there was something you needed and all we received was emails. We were not told when our closing would be or the process. We left a message that we were out of town and the tittle company called us to set up the closing. We made it work but the communication was very poor. When we went to sign papers our correct names were not right on the paperwork after we asked you to correct it weeks before.

Geoff, I apologize for my harsh responses, but Prim's push for automation has taken the personal touch out of a very personal process. The only person I physically met was Kyli and her responses were excellent. Here I am trying to rate you and I have NO IDEA who you are and what role you played.\n\nHal McIlroy

Quick and easy process, we closed in exactly 30 days.

Didn’t feel there was good communication, things took much longer than I expected and I didn’t receive any explanation on why. I had to call to ask what was going on.

Maybe because I closed today my wound is still fresh, but after having worked in the industry for upwards of nearly 20 years I have never seen so much chaos at the closing table. I was given at least three different amounts to bring to close throughout the process and they had me pay for my appraisal prior to close just to get them to refund it after close. \n\nI was contacted by at least four different people throughout the process and when I sent emails I rarely got a response to my questions. Which really weren't many, bu... read more
