We were only required to submit a minimal amount of documentation, the process was very streamlined and clearly explained to us. Our interaction with PennyMac was very professional and courteous. We closed within 30 days and got a great rate. Very happy to recommend Pennac to anyone who needs a mortgage!!

The whole process was pretty easy. Communication open and instructions were easy to understand.
I had several questions about the numbers on the disclosure. I was able to see it in the bottom line but there was never a complete accounting of where my old Escrow was applied to the new loan.
We had a very bad experience with another company during the market crash of 2008. We conveyed our concerns and the team at PennMac made us feel comfortable and took us through the process step by step. If we didnt understand something George and his staff explained it again and made sure we understood and were comfortable. We also hit every estimated timeline goal, even when we came across unexpected challenges. I would highly suggest using the team at PennyMac.
Got better at the end. Not Georges fault. Score would have been much lower if not for George and VP Nick, however the overall process was not smooth as should be. started in early Feb, closed finally 4/20... about a month after what was initially advised. Had a processor just up & leave a few weeks into the process - so my loan sat unattended. I had to make phone calls to see where it was at. George & Nicholas Orr remedied at end to make sure completed including missed items AFTER signing

Overall process was great
George Reid made it seem as though I was asking for the moon when I asked him my desire to close the refi loan so that I would skip 2 payments and have our next mortgage payment due on the 1st of the 3rd month. I have refinanced twice before this loan and this was never an issue and the folks that worked those loans were very accommodating with this request. In the end that is exactly what happened with our loan. I closed before 4/15 so the next mort payment is due 6/1.
