Friendly staff and owner. Cabin has almost everything you need. Nice pool and jacuzzi, excellent play area for the kids.

Perfect for a puppy vacation. There was a couple long dark hairs on the kitchen counter and the tile was all cracked and needing some repair but other than that it was pretty clean. If you are going to stay more than a night you might want to bring toilet paper and paper towels. They only left a half of a roll of each. I’m sure I could have got more in the office, unfortunately the office was not open! There is a spa /shower combo in the bathroom. There is no shower curtain so the bathroom gets pretty wet - ask for extra tow... read more

Rustic treat Pros: Location, rustic decor, fireplace, comfortable bed. If you are looking for an upscale hotel, this is not for you. If you are looking for a rustic mountain treat, you have found it here. The location is easy to find and cabins are far enough from the street to be quiet. The staff were helpful with info about the area. The cabin is very small and cozy. There is a fire burning fireplace with wood available to purchase. (We brought our own.) Lodge with Most Comfortable Beds My experience with Golden Bear Cottages was phenomenal. Lisa and the front desk staff went out of their way to ensure that I was comfortable. In additional, the lodge had tempurpedic beds in every one of those rooms. I haven't stayed at lodges that have these type of beds. Overall, I highly recommend this property.

Sweet cabin stay with two kids and the husband. Wonderful time, cute cabin, all the comforts, porch with swing, space for kids to play, nice small kitchen to cook. Only issue was that the fold out bed and actual bed were hard. Once we got settled in, it was fine. Loved the jacuzzi.

December Pros: I love the cozy cottages.I have rented many private homes in Big Bear and the deposits and cleaning fees are often very high for a short stay Stayed early December 2017.Very quiet time in Big Bear between major Holidays.Cottages were very clean in spite of age of hotel.The beds are exceptional,and appliances were adequate.Loved the fireplace,ambiance and coziness of our 2 cottages.I would absolutely stay again.
