The only positive note is about the check-in that was done ahead of time and very fast. The negative points are: Horrible beds, we could not sleep there the second night of our stay. There was strong gas smell in the kitchen and in the adjacent bedroom. There were no WiFi. No free bottled water. Toaster did not work. Microwave oven could not be programmed. Windows do not close properly.
Poor communication, two roles of toilet paper for a family of 8, make sure you get your own. Rude staff.

Unfortunately I'm disappointed with the way a situation was handled and will not be returning. The water heater barely provided less than 5 mins of hot water and then was freezing. We were told wait 1 hr per shower by maintenance then front desk said 30mins (we waited 1 hr and still no hot water). No matter how much you pay, you expect to be able to sleep and shower (with hot water). There was also black mold in water heater closet. Sorry for your experience. That cabin is equipped with a 50 gallon water heater which is only about 2 months old and when checked is firing properly. We are sorry that you didn’t have enough hot water. We have checked the “mold” situation and it is safe and not black mold according to a mold specialist. We appreciate your business and again we are sorry for your experience.
Spent the weekend with my family in the shaggy Bear Cabin, was very roomy, clean and it had a very warm environment and quiet! Which is a plus for me definitely will stay again in the future.🙂

The three bedroom two bath unit, was really two bedroom with a loft and the bathrooms were there but only one shower....a little misleading, but we made it work. Some beds were good others needed replacement. Okay for two nights.

Amazing winter trip and the Shaggy Bear Cabin in Golden Bear Cottage the perfect complement.
The staff was friendly and accommodating, Howe the cottage itself was a bit run down and dilapidated. Issues with internet service was consistent.

The cottage was really comfortable. My problem was that I reserved one with kitchen but when we got there they gave us a simple one instead. I didnt make a scene or something, just asked if we could upgrade. Unfortunately everything was booked... I don't know what happened but I think expedia has to improve on that. We were really sad and ended up coming back with all the food we wanted to prepare.
