We paid for the white glove service and a dedicated truck, ($**** each). We planned an interstate move in May 2023. After doing due diligence, we hired Golden Gate Relocation LLC to move our household. Some of the issues: we contracted for a White Glove Package, the moving company was to pack what we didn't. Golden Gate Relocation Services lost almost half our goods. They have had them for 35 days and can’t tell us where they are. I have tried to call multiple times a week for the last month. A majority of the time it results in a text saying they are “working on it”. 14 boxes, 3 tubs, a tv(and all our TVs legs and cords), shop vacuum, table, garbage can, microwave, snowboard, and treadmill are missing. Regret ever calling this company! I have never used a moving company before. I was completely exhausted after two very close members of our family passed away. I needed help, and the representative was extremely helpful and made me feel at ease. Initially, everything was going well. Golden Gate Relocation picked my items up in California on May 29 and delivered them on June 29. They offered disassembly & reassembly of basic furniture, loading at pick-up & unloading at delivery and blankets, pads, belts, ties, & straps for added protection of furniture. I paid ***** for this service. When they arrived they did not use blankets, pads or straps. They threw everything into the truck. Worst business I've ever dealt with. They admitted to losing and breaking more than *******worth of my belongings and offered less than ****in compensation. The move cost *******. For *******I could have replaced everything (except the artwork they probably stole). They called me and wanted to facetime with me to figure out which stuff was mine in the moving van. Similar story to others. Initial quote was reasonable. They appeared to be local to us in Los Angeles. Sales was responsive. We paid for full pack and move to another state. After our items were loaded on the truck we were told the price went up ***. Foreman outright lied about use of space. We have pictures showing we were not using claimed space. At first, things seemed great; we got a decent quote and were happy to hire them. Then they show up and tell us it will cost almost *****more than we thought. The foreman argued with my mom about how much space we would be using despite us going over everything already with the rep from the company. They overcharged us for the number of stairs initially, but calling the company did fix that. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Move on your own, despite the challenges. This company isn't worth your time or money due to their unprofessionalism. Initially, I spoke with Scottie, a typical salesman, who presented the company well. Despite this, the contract details were misleading. They promised "Furniture pads will be used," "No contracting work," and "Great Customer Service," all of which turned out false. Run from these folks as fast as you can. Golden Gate Relocation was 8 Hours late on pick up showed up only after we called the Foreman Mo (********) and woke him up he said he would be there in a hour and showed up 3 hours later. They packed until 11:00 at night.
