I had a deal in place with my own financing and an agreement with the dealer. What they didn’t tell me until the close was their app they force on you, Kahu Connected. They sell it to you as a LoJack type service but really it’s selling data points of where you have been and where you are going. It also is wired to the ignition so the app can kill the car at any time. I told the dealer that this product infringes on my rights and I don’t want this data sold. They lied!!! I live 3 hrs away and saw a vehicle online that I was interested in. Prior to driving up there I called to inquire about the vehicle saying that in the pictures, the rear end of the truck looked lighter than the front and asked if it had been in an accident or repainted. They said it had a clean carfax and that the paint discoloration was just part of the style of paint job, that it looked like a different color from different angles. Very disheartening! I have bought many cars from Grapevine Ford but never again. New car and 2 months later, still dealing with issues. Shame on Andrew Boaz and Matt Bracken for saying it is not a sales issue anymore.
Used Car buying - Things to watch out for here Its been a little while since I bought a used truck here but I think people need to know. The timing of getting a deal done can take 4-6 hours. I asked for side steps and he said he would give them to me at cost $1200. Ford has them for $300-400 to the public. So I had the sales person take them off and returned them. Not a trustworthy dealer in my experience I was in the market for a 2019 Mustang GT convertible and these guys had one. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE After 15 months, nine times in the shop and 45 days without my car, my brand new 2019 Navigator has FINALLY been deemed a lemon. The transmission was slipping and the engine was burning oil. Lincoln told Grapevine Lincoln to put oil in the car and give it back to me!!! No deal! Date line 5/22/2020 I called about a 2016 CPO Ford Escape that Grapevine Ford had advertised. Was contacted immediately and they went through their spill about how if I would fill out a credit app they would come of the price $500 even though I had told them is was a cash deal. We stopped buy after shopping around for a new suv and found one here we liked, this was on Monday still was trying to negotiate the price but once we decided we contacted the sale rep and he told us he was holding it while we ran our credit.
