I would never recommend this company. The wrong materials were ordered twice! Finally got the installation done after 5 months. The south wall has a sliding glass door that is level but not plumb. The door is visibly crooked. I just spoke to Jim, the regional manager. He said that the wall cannot be plumb because the patio floor slopes by an inch. Cant shim it on the right side and that is how all walls are built. Very dissatisfied with this project.

Frustrating experience with a non-responsive contractor. Do not agree to the financing arrangement under any circumstance. It allows this irresponsible contractor to billan incomplete job. We have an incomplete job where they have billed 100% of the job. Started the install in August and we have been getting excuses since then (it is now November). We spent almost 20,000 on windows bay and double hung. Also a patio door. They all were Stanek. I can't even get Great Day to respond to my calls for service. Left multiple voice mails with their service dept.

Firstly, I am a licensed structural engineer and work with contractors daily on a range of projects. GDI/Patio Enclosures is without a doubt the worst Ive come across in my personal & professional life. In general, they do not understand how their products work or how to interpret their own engineered plans. Absolutely do not trust your home or your money to these people. All work was done at the very brink of or beyond the contracted time. While the salesman indicated that work generally started and finished much earlier than the safety timeframes built into the contract, I know to expect that salesmen make any pitch that sounds good at the moment whether it is reality or not. Great Day Improvements is a company that stays afloat by writing contracts and collecting a down payment up front. Then they start slacking off. They don't show up when they say they will and they don't call to let you know they're not showing up. I guess they expect us to leave our doors and gates unlocked every day just in case they decide to show up. They do just enough to try and keep the customer quiet. After arranging terms on June 24th 2021 to convert my screened in porch to a 3 season sun room, work was scheduled to start Aug 17, 2021 and was told a crew would arrive between 10 AM and 12 PM. A crew arrived with the materials at 6 PM on the 17th. The next day, the 18th, the crew arrived. We ordered a 10x12 screened porch on 8/11/2020 to be added to our patio. The job was to be completed no later that 12/14/2020 according to the contract. We finally have the completed porch on 9/10/2021. The communication was extremely poor throughout this ordeal. We have had two houses built during our marriage which were no where near as stressful as this small screened porch.
