I had look at 9 window companies before choosing Stanek windows. Although it was late January 2020, They did a great job on install I was really excited with the product. However, it wasn't until the falling winter 2020 that I noticed a draft by the window. I used a thermostat to measure temperature and noticed it was 5 to 7 degrees colder 6 feet from window. This company only cares about completing the project and getting their money! The project took 2 months longer than they told us. They sent a sliding glass door without the wheels, and the locking piece installed upside down, and they still installed the door. They forgot a window screen. They didn't inform us that certain windows would take an extra month after the rest of the project was installed. Review for the ******** ********office of Patio Enclosures, formerly known as Great Day Home Improvements. Their contract said - and the salesman said - they would gain permits/approvals from Reston Association. When we tried to sell the condo two years later, the Association said we’d never gotten approval, and the colors used on the patio enclosure weren’t to standards. I had great communication with the salesman and he made me feel confident that I would be satisfied. After I signed the contract, there were issues with what I thought I was getting versus what the actual building plans showed. I was hit with extra costs because of it. Then the schedule kept slipping during fabrication and the enclosure that I was promised before winter did not get started until mid-winter. HUCKSTERS!!!! "EXTREMELY SHADY" Contract practices !!!!! Contract expressly states, "Provide all Government Permits." BILLED but NONE OBTAINED! COUNTY CITATION; Requires ground penetrating radar, schematics, Engineering structural plans, etc., that I don't have. Result: $$$$$ additional out of pocket costs. Pending Outcome; Fine and/or Complete Tear-down. Verbal promises; Made, then refuted by the Office - "Not in Contract." i.e., "Ceiling Fan Install Ready," means they don't provide the Ceilng Fans. The salesman ***** was great. We communicated with him throughout the entire installation and he always returned, emails, texts and/or phone calls. On the other hand, communication from the office was pretty bad. We had no idea when workers would show up. When the guys did show up to work they did a good job. *** was the lead installer and he knew what he was doing and he directed the others. Stay away! The install never happened! They never applied for my permit, missed install deadline, blamed it on COVID and when I called Marshall CO permit office and found they never applied I received only a partial refund of my $14,500 initial draw. They withheld $2000 “for CAD drawings”. I never received these drawings as promised. $2000 for absolutely nothing!!!<br /> <br /> <br />

Worst purchase I've ever made. The patio is junk. I paid good money for the patio and it leak the screens have been replaced and it's not even 2 years old. I've called them to complain and it takes weeks for them to get back to me. I bought for my cats and the guy who sold it to me showed me different screen than I received. The day the crew put it up one of the slides was the wrong measurement so it was left partially open next thing I see I have mice in my house.
