My husband and I bought a patio enclosure from Great Day Improvements on June 24, 2020. After we signed the contract, obligating us to pay this company about as much as the price of a small house, the attending Sales Lady asked us if we were excited. I admit, I was excited but, this whole thing has been a nightmare for us. The project began on September 29, which was when they demolished our old sunroom. Like a lot of what I’m reading here, we've had similar customer service issues with Great Day Improvements. We’re in the Chicago area, but their Milwaukee office was assigned to our project. We hired them to enclose a covered deck. $26,500 project (half of that financed through their program with GreenSky) which entailed them installing their sliding windows system with a sliding patio door, and a custom storm door for exterior access ordered by them from Provia. Patio Enclosures (PE) **** ********** **** ***** **** ******** ** Part of Great Day Improvements *** ******** **** * ********** **5/17/2020 - Contract signed for $44,320. PE waited on CAD drawings before beginning construction. 8/13/2020 - Construction began without CAD drawings. No building permit. 9/1/2020 – Enclosure nearly done except for a few things including electrical and peak windows. From a salesperson who lied about the quality of the product he sold me, to an installer who tried to cover up that the frame to my patio doors was broken upon arrival, to never coming back and actually installing the replacement doors they promised me, this company is THE WORST. I am left having to pay to have the broken system removed and reinstalled by another contractor who hopefully will be honest. Do not use Great Day Improvements out of *******, MA.

Would not recommend this company even if they offered to do the job for free. Totally unprofessional from the start. **** ****** our sales rep never returned calls, texts or emails once the contract was signed. Contract signed June 2020 with construction beginning late February 2021. The project failed the first city inspection in early March and nothing has been done to fix the 15 items on the failed inspection list. The project is 1/3 complete, no end in sight, and the roof that was installed is leaking profusely.

I worked with them to have a screened in porch installed. It seemed very nice up front, they were communicative about delays and project updates, but everything fell apart at installation. Some of the screens came in dented and damaged, the door slams shut, and part of the porch is still uninstalled! I was told they would be back in a few days to finish installation, but they never came back. It's been a few weeks now. I've called half a dozen times. Worst experience ever! Paid upfront in full still the project is not correct or even completed!

The resolution that was reached was that we will remove the Electrical portion of the contract, refund that portion of the contract, and not install the room extension. Received less than 24 hour notification for my installation appointment and also less than 24 hours for my follow up screen repair.

I started this in February 2021 and I must say ******* (my sales rep) was amazing being the reason I went with this company. I decided in March to make some upgrades. I kept calling Irish to pay way before my payments were due and they kept taking the ***** amounts from my account. I called several times to remediate this but no one would call back.
