Our server (Ava) was excellent. The food was a mixed bag. We ordered the bread basket since bread no longer comes with the meal. The zucchini bread was extremely dry (verging on stale), the ciabatta was nice, and the olive oil dip was mostly herbs and very little oil, certainly not enough to dip the two pieces of ciabatta and two rolls we got in the $10 basket. I met a friend for lunch at Grindstone on the Monon. We were warmly greeted upon arrival. Our table was on the lovely covered outside patio. I ordered the Salmon salad which had wonderful salmon accompanied with delicious zucchini bread. My friend thoroughly enjoyed her Beet and Apple salad. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Grindstone on the Monon for great food

Our waiter, Jeffrey S, had a great personality and was very engaging and attentive. Drinks were refilled promptly, and plates were cleared as soon as we were finished — unlike many places where service can feel rushed or inattentive.

It was a great night as a couple. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. The service from Brewer who was our server was attentive and fun. What I noticed was a very young couple on a date. One of them either worked there or the son of someone who worked there. The entire waitstaff stopped by and hugged or said hello. I believe that the team is a family and care about each other which is why I also believe I felt cared for as a guest.
