We showed up for our reservation 45 minutes early (yeah, I know) and they still managed to get us in before our original time after only a 20 minute wait, which was definitely a pleasant surprise and not at all the expectation. Our server came over to get our drink orders pretty much right away and she was consistent and attentive for our whole stay. Enjoyed restaurant immensely. Noise level was a bit much, however, as we were seated by a large table of men whose laughs were loud guffaws. It was hard to carry on a conversation until they received their food and 'shut up' a bit.

We had a table for 15 to celebrate our daughter’s college graduation. Alex, our server was amazing! He made sure everyone was taken care of and he absolutely shined with professionalism. He was so welcoming and attentive. We had a wonderful evening. One day mom and I will get those Bloody Mary’s on the gulf coast.

We've been to Grindstone a few times, and are always pleasantly surprised by several things. The food is always pretty darn good. The cocktails are really, really good. And the prices are pretty darn fair compared to a lot of other places. It's a nice comfortable place to go. I wish I could remember our server's name, but she was great.

Despite having a reservation specifically for the patio, they told us we had to wait because another party had exceeded their allotment of tables. We patiently waited the 10-15 minutes. They then sat us in the sun and when we asked about the the covered area, they said we had to wait an additional 15 minutes, again even though we had a reservation and the previous party had left.
