I cannot recommend The Grove enough for my mother who was deteriorating at home for reasons that are still not clear. She came into The Grove weighing about six stone and was extremely weak, sleeping the entire time and hardly talking. She was unable to eat and I thought she would never get better. She left 5 weeks later at least a stone heavier, more engaged more lively and her whole body that was failing at home was much improved by a regime of delicious food, care and attention that was top tier. The staff were excellent.... read more

Grove Court is akin to a 5-star hotel, beautiful surroundings and manicured grounds. Mum's fall resulting in a fractured shoulder, required respite care. The manager at GC with great efficiency, coordinated everything; arranging a hospital assessment to securing a room. Within a day, Mum was settled at GC, seamlessly transported there. Adjusting to a new environment can be daunting yet the warm and attentive staff made the transition easy. They radiated care and kindness. The facilities are impressive, indoor and outdoor spa... read more

Grove Court provide short term respite care for my mother as she recovered from a hospital visit. They could not have been more friendly or helpful and Mum has now moved back to her home.

My 91-year-old mother stayed in a respite room at Grove Court for 5 weeks to recover from a hospital stay before being able to return to her own home where she lives independently. The management team assisted me greatly by being so accommodating in arranging, and then extending, her stay. The care staff were friendly, taking time to chat with her and make sure she was always comfortable. The rooms and shared spaces were spotless and laundry done regularly. As she regained her strength she thoroughly enjoyed the tasty food a... read more

My mother became a resident at Grove Court in 2019 when she broke her wrist after a fall at home and could no longer manage on her own. From the beginning, she was very happy. She enjoyed the camaraderie and the activities on offer and joined in at every opportunity. She was always very positive about her care and was always clean, neat and tidy whatever time of day I visited. All the carers were very kind and always willing to chat to me about Mum. They were quick to call the appropriate agency if there was any problem with... read more

I have been living at Grove Court now for almost a year and while it has been difficult settling into a new and different environment the staff especially admin and management staff are unfailingly helpful and kind, perhaps a bit sharp occasionally when they are hard pressed. Advice with technology is always available and the food is always varied. There is a vegetarian and a fish option every day and breakfast is multiple choice and offers a tasty way to start the day. Activities are excellent; my only comment that I would ... read more

The care provided is excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful, to the family as well as to my aunt. She is treated with consideration, courtesy and respect, as well as having her needs met. Her room is pleasant and kept clean and overlooks a well-kept and interesting garden.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this kind review.

I wish all care homes were resourced to the level of Grove Court - our elders should be offered the best and that is what I see here. Great staff attitude, friendly and ready to problem solve. I feel comforted that Mum is being actively cared for and her individuality celebrated rather than experienced as a problem because of underfunding and understaffing (I know there are lots of great staff in other care homes, but many seem to be underpaid and stretched to their limits). I feel very welcome each time I arrive and because... read more

I would like to post a review about my aunt who has reached a year anniversary since she came to live at Grove Court. Prior to coming she had been in hospital and at 100 years of age was very frail and had to be nursed in bed. The care given is exemplary which I know has led to such a wonderful recovery, she is smiling every day and the laughter that I thought we had lost is definitely back in bucket loads. One year on she is up most days, able to feed herself and delights in the nutritious food provided. The activities prov... read more
