Get directionsI came for respite care in December following a bout of ill health. Grove Court care was wonderful. All the staff were so attentive and so kind. My room was lovely on the ground floor overlooking the garden. The food was excellent and my choices of meals were lovely. The nursing care was brilliant as, unfortunately, I had to return to hospital whilst staying there and their professionalism whilst unwell was superb. I would like to give my very grateful thanks to everyone who looked after me there.

Mum moved into Grove Court in June 2023 as a nursing care resident. She was immediately made welcome and her needs were identified. As a family, we have great regard for and are extremely grateful to the home and staff who do their utmost to ensure Mum is happy and safe. She is very loved there by everyone and staff go out of their way to report to me what activities she has attended and how her mood is. She is treated with respect. Staff always report back to us immediately if she falls over, or if she has any medical probl... read more

Thank you very much for your kind review. It is a pleasure to have your mother with us. We pride ourselves with transparency and inclusion so it is lovely to have this recognised.
My 94-year-old mother is very happy here. Most importantly she says the staff are all lovely and fun. I have also found this to be the case. It is easy for me to contact the staff and have an immediate response whenever I am concerned about anything to do with her health. My mother particularly enjoys walks in the large garden.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave this kind review. I am very pleased to hear your mother enjoys living with us at Grove Court.
My stepfather moved to Grove Court following the death of my mother. He was a resident for about 18 months, and had not lived in the UK for over 50 years when he moved in. The staff made him feel so welcome and settled, despite him not being from the area (whereas a lot of the residents are). The team are friendly and caring, treating all the residents with the utmost respect and dignity. The home itself is comfortable and like a real home-from-home rather than an institution. The grounds are beautiful. My stepfather really ... read more

My dad lived contentedly at Grove Court for the last three years of his life. It is well managed and has an amazing team at all levels. It was a wonderful home to my dad and a second home to me. His care was individualised to his needs, maintaining his privacy and dignity at all times. The carers on his team went above and beyond treating my dad with warmth and respect. This level of care allowed me to relax and live my life as well. As a retired nurse I think the end of life care my dad received was exceptional. They cared ... read more

My mother went to Grove Court for respite care earlier this year and we agreed that she should stay on permanently. We were pleased with that decision. She was very well looked after by the caring and friendly staff. The nursing team kept her safe, flagging her ongoing health issues with her GP to ensure all her medical care was integrated. The social activities, led by the wonderful ladies, are brilliant - there are craft sessions, art classes, musical performances, social events, films and games. They made a real effort to... read more

Thank you very much for your lovely review. It was a pleasure to care for your mother and she is greatly missed by us all.
Following a hip operation I went to Grove Court for a two-week stay. I found everyone to be very friendly and caring. I liked the layout of the home, as I could find several indoor walks, which were all on the same level, and the grounds were very well kept, especially loved the garden room. Thought the interior looked a little tired, the rooms rather small. I had expected more medical care e.g. help with exercise and physio but in general, concerns were looked into, and a GP was sought.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review for Grove Court. I am pleased to hear that you had a good stay.
My dad received the best care at Grove Court from the time of his admission for respite care in July to the time he sadly passed away in September. Dad had been living alone for many years until he could no longer manage on his own. He did not want to leave his home but once he was at Grove Court, he appreciated the care and company Grove Court could provide. The staff were amazing and treated him as part of a big family. Although Dad was not at Grove Court for long, he was treated with care and dignity throughout. I also va... read more

Thank you so very much for your kind review. It was an honour to care for your dad in his final months. The staff at Grove Court are an amazing bunch of people whom I feel blessed to manage and we are able to provide the outstanding level of care both clinically and holistically that our residents deserve.
I cannot speak highly enough of Grove Court. My mum moved there earlier this year and has received nothing but kindness, support and high quality care. She is often greeted with hugs and nothing seems to be too much trouble. Not only is the setting beyond beautiful, with the river in the distance, the gardens abundant with flowers, trees and seating, but the home itself is awash with flowers, clean, with lovely living rooms and activity room. A special mention to the pastoral and activities team too, who are also brilliant. ... read more
