I had one of the Guy Roofing vans run my car off the road causing damage to my car. The van did not stop. I have reported this incident to Guy Roofing. First they claimed the tracking on the vehicles did not show any of their vehicles at the address I reported. Once I proved the vehicle was at the location they told me this vehicle does not have licensed plate. They suggested I go knock on the door of where this van is located to find out who the driver is. The actual roof work was fine. But if you get the sales rep Joe Gelotte RUN! He is the absolute WORST salesman we have ever dealt with! He hid in a $999 fee, stood us up on appointments, didn’t return phone calls, strung out the dispute for a month, and we got it fixed by someone else in the office. The work was fine (even though they started earlier than agreed upon, by ringing the bell and waking up my baby AND burned our lawn with something that was on their tarps). I would give no stars if that were possible.I called Guy Roofing to quote me on a new roof after the most recent hail storm. A nice young man came out to discuss the job.Apparently they wont even measure your roof until you give them all the information from your insurance company.He wouldn't even measure my roof. He said how can we do the job if we don't know what your insurance company is going to pay for?...I told them that was my problem, I just want a quote for a new roof...I cant do that until I see your insurance info... read more

We had hail damage last year and had Guy come out for quite. A nice young man drove up in an impressive Guy Roofing truck. We agreed on the deal based on my insurance claim and they called to set a date. The morning came for the job to begin. A hodgepodge of multi colored cars and vans from the 70's pulled up. The boss only spoke minimal English. It began to rain and they started removing the old roof. I had to stop them as I was not sure how long it would rain. Guy Roofing is the worst company I have ever encountered. Unfortunately my mom hired them to re-roof her house. They stole the tarps, rope and lumber I put on her roof, they installed the wrong color shingles, terrible workmanship, not straight, even or uniform, they left nails all over the yard (3 flat tires so far), no one on their work crew spoke English, every time you call their office you had to talk to a different person, 0 accountability. I called Guy Roofing about a leak I'm having near a roof vent. I explained what I needed on the phone and paid $50 in advance for them to set an appointment. The salesman came and the first words he said even prior to looking at my roof was "our minimum tune-up job is $750", I only have 2 roof vents! I have been scammed. This company knew well ahead of the apt that I had at most a $75 to $100 fix it job. If I could give ZERO stars I would! This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. It took them 5 months to finish my roof and siding and it would have been longer than that if I hadn't kept on them about finishing. They continuously lied, missed scheduled appts and had to redo their crappy work multiple times! My work order is still not complete and I have been harassed continuously about paying my bill. This is for the Greenville SC office!! They won't inspect your roof or give you an estimate without sitting down and having a meeting with you!! My father is in the ICU as of right now and they want to have me call back when I can meet face to face! This is ridiculous!!
