So comfortable I knew this hotel has high reputation but it was more thanI I expected. I could feel the same quality with excellent hotel in Japan. In Japan in expensive hotel, everything is perfect...taste, hospitality, and so on. I found this hotel is perfect, for example, I could see perfectly clean room, floor of restaurant, glasses, dishes, and everything. I usually give something up if I am abroad, but this hotel was exception. Moreover, location is great...we could see beautiful see and light house.
pleasing enviroment Location: water front .....good location Enjoyed my visit and stay. The value rate charged was a discounted for off season.
Regular rates are way too high Pros: Chaimber maid did a very good job Cons: Shabby building (Mayhew) The place is ok, nothing great, glad I got a special rate. The doors going outside did not lock in our building, all 3 of them. No computer area. Bed was comfortable enough but the pillows were terrible. Thin walls. Cold coffee in common area.
Secret Getaway Pros: Henry's Cons: Musty smell Location: Perfect My only complaint about this hotel would be the musty smell that hits you immediately as you enter the Mayhew Building. It also was quite strong in the actual room. I purchased a scented candle at a local shop and the room was perfect from then on.
Wonderful Stay! Pros: Location & cleanliness Location: Just wonderful...beautiful view of water! We had such a wonderful stay. The view is just spectacular & the food, especially the Sunday Brunch, is wonderful. We stayed during the off-season but had such a wonderful time. Thank you!
Short get away on the Vineyard... Our short stay on March 11 and March 12,2012 was a very pleasant expierence,The clean bright room was very comfortable.The Resturant Henreys was very good waitstaff was polite and helpful...The entire staff of the hotel was friendly and helpful..I will certainly return and recommend this Hotel to family and friends...Thank you and hope to se you all again soon...
Winter stay We checked into the hotel with a very reduced Internet rate, to find we would be placed in the Mayhew Wing behind the main hotel. We asked to upgrade to the main building, which is charming and historic, and also asked for a view of the waterfront. The front desk gave us a beautiful corner room, with a view of the harbor and the lighthouse, for a very reasonable upgrade fee.
