Harborview is Beautiful This hotel was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were right at the end of the off season so it was a bit quiet. Restaurants were fabulous. Great getaway for family or couples.
Outstanding This was my second trip to Martha's Vineyard, and staying at the Harbor View made it wonderful. The staff was excellent, accommodating me when my flight was cancelled and I had to change my reservation and putting us in a terrific room in the main building. The bed was extremely comfortable, the room was very clean, and we had a terrific view of the harbor. One of the side benefits is the easy walk to the lighthouse and the main area of Edgartown. This was a very nice hotel. It was built back in the 1800's, but they have totally modernized it to be a good place to stay. The hotel was huge. It was very clean and had a great view from the front side of the hotel. We were a little disappointed that we ended up on the third floor as far back as you can go. We visited during the off season so I really don't think the hotel was filled with people. Breakfast was not included. A perfect stay We were absolutely delighted with the proximity of this hotel to the restaurants and shops in Edgartown, and to rental bikes and the ferry to Chappaquiddick. The walk from hotel to town itself was very pretty (past captain's homes) and enjoyable in itself. The moon rise over the Edgartown headlight was gorgeous. Henry's Lounge was perfect for evening cocktails and dinner. Drinks on the front porch, too. We will stay here again!
Room with a View The Harbor View hotel was beautiful and the staff were very curteous. The breakfast and dinner was fairly pricied and you can't beat the view from the front porch and diningroom.
Great hotel. I really enjoyed staying here - off season it was very affordable. Too expensive to stay at during the high season. Wish they had included breakfast. Bed was wonderful.
A Great Classic Vineyard Hotel The Harbor View hotel is a classic victorian style hotel, with high standards of service and maintenance. Adding to it's charm is a porch with rocking chairs facing the Edgartown waterfront,which wraps around the front of the hotel. Built in the 1800s, the hotel retains the charm of a time gone by, while also offering excellent service. The two restaurants were outstanding, and the service always friendly.
