Outstanding Hotel in a Great Location The hotel actually exceeded my expectations. First of all, the pix on their web site don't do it justice. It's on the end of one way Water Street and was extemely quiet, yet walking distance to the best lighthouse in Martha's Vineyard, the pristine tidal marshes, and downtown Edgartown. Beautiful MV hotel for great value. Prime location in Edgartwon Very clean elegant hotel in prime Edgartown location. Very shabby chic New Englad decor, wonder bar and restaurant with great local specialties.
Harbor View Hotel This is a great place! Looks like it was recently renovated. The color scheme are really nice. The restaurant in the hotel has a great brunch menu and the food is excellent. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the downtown area, but I would highly recommend this place.

Harbor View - Martha's Vineyard - Spectacular Location: The whole island is great This hotel is in a beautiful location on the water in Edgartown. This is a very elegant and very beautiful hotel. We stayed in the Governor Mayhew Lodge, which is not part of the main hotel and does not overlook the water, but the rooms are great and the views are still very nice and we could see the water from our balcony. Great stay! Everyone at this hotel was very helpful and the hotel is beautiful. The location on the water in Edgartown is perfect - just far enough from the center of town. Clean, updated rooms. We were glad we stayed here.

Harbor View September 4-5 2010 Great stay at the hotel; very friendly and competent staff, excellent pool, awesome location by lighthouse, and easy walk into downtown Edgartown. Hurricane precluded getting to MV on Sept 3 (ferries cancelled), but hotel and Hotels.com were immediately helpful, and refunded my first night's charge. Arrived first thing following morning and room was ready at 8:30 AM!
harbor view martha's vineyard Great hotel in a great location but the prices for food, drink were way too high. Would not recommend eating at the hotel.
