A perfect stay We were absolutely delighted with the proximity of this hotel to the restaurants and shops in Edgartown, and to rental bikes and the ferry to Chappaquiddick. The walk from hotel to town itself was very pretty (past captain's homes) and enjoyable in itself. The moon rise over the Edgartown headlight was gorgeous. Henry's Lounge was perfect for evening cocktails and dinner. Drinks on the front porch, too. We will stay here again!
Room with a View The Harbor View hotel was beautiful and the staff were very curteous. The breakfast and dinner was fairly pricied and you can't beat the view from the front porch and diningroom.
Great hotel. I really enjoyed staying here - off season it was very affordable. Too expensive to stay at during the high season. Wish they had included breakfast. Bed was wonderful.
A Great Classic Vineyard Hotel The Harbor View hotel is a classic victorian style hotel, with high standards of service and maintenance. Adding to it's charm is a porch with rocking chairs facing the Edgartown waterfront,which wraps around the front of the hotel. Beautiful but pricey Charming and quiet. Wonderful staff - warm and genuine. $8 for 3 oz of clam chowder is not for the budget conscious, but there’s a couple of other restaurants within walking distance even in the off-season.
Wonderful Easter We stayed a the Harbor View hotel for one night. The staff was beyond courteous helping us with numerous tourist questions that would have been easy to find annoying. It was not peak season so much of the grounds and many of the rooms were being worked on to prepare for the summer, but it was still a beautiful hotel. We ate the Easter brunch at the restaurant on the premises, Water Street, and it was absolutely amazing.
