I am having a very hard time believing that Harvey Building Products has a BBB rating of A+ and 5 star customer reviews. I have been in contact with Harvey Building Products Customer Service in an attempt to purchase replacement window seals and have gotten absolutely nowhere. I recently sent an email inquiry on the status of my request and all I get is crickets. Although I feel that their windows are a generally good product, you are pretty much out of luck if you need replacement parts.
They’re OK until they’re Not…. We outfitted our new construction cottage with Harvey Products thru a local contractor; windows, doors, siding etc. We visited their showroom in Berlin CT, and they were mostly helpful. Long-story-short, one of the exterior doors leaked badly at the lower corners on both sides. It’s a ********** door slab, but Harvey manufactured and fitted the frame. The first appointment was a no-show. I waited five hours for nothing. They offered only feeble apology but still charged me for reschedule. This the lower rating. The two guys who eventually came were excellent, knowledgeable, and very curtious. I would rate them five stars.
Harvey windows are not what i thought same window Keep breaking cost me $99 one time then drove out another time to pick up part to fix ourself and then August 2019 i paid $145 For same Window issue again ! Today the same window is broke customer service tells us we need to open window more offer! I had my family addition started 2007 and finish up 2008 plus had all new windows and doors replace . Well i made the call and received a service number but no one has called or came out to fix my issues . So not sure why they are even asking me to fill this out when it’s two weeks and nothing ! Hopefully someone calls me
Quality of replacement service for a faulty seal on sliding door was great. Quick service - friendly support. BUT - I was not impressed that it costs $145 to get warranty service. The door seal was a clear failure within warranty period - nothing I could do to prevent failure. So why the fee? Buying a good product from Harvey is not worth the savings if the product was delayed in original delivery (several weeks) and then fails and it costs me more money. I wish for a stronger warranty.
The composite frame on my ****** *** door is warped. It was insrtalled by a lic. contractor, who tried to fix three times. Harvey Building Products will not respond to my complaint. I have to lean on the top left part of the door to make it latch. there is a 1/4 inch difference from top to bottom on the jamb. The Harvey rep from Dartmouth say that is normal. I called Harvey four times with no response.
Wish we never got involved with Harvey, progress is slow, products were wrong, they've had our money since July 5th noe work started as of yet
Purchased Harvey Acoustical windows to address a street noise issue in my two story home. The windows did not reduce the noise level in anyway. Was actually told by a very professional individual who managed this area of the company and was told that the windows would in fact not solve the problem I was having unless done in conjunction with a total sound proofing project.
