wonderful staff, but spread a bit thin. food is very institutionl, almost no fresh fruits or vegetables, hot dogs are on the menu a bit too often, wraps and sandwiches are usually available but not promoted, much of the food very salty. older heating system in somevof the apts, hard to manage for an elderly person. regular thermostats would be better. Facility was very nice, rooms were good, value seemed good as well. Currently there is a waitlist and after my tour I was not contacted for a follow-up or a request to be llsted.
So far our experience with Heritage at Clara Barton has been a good one! The staff here is friendly and professional, and the facility itself is clean and well kept. They take very good care of the people who live here, and they've done a great job keeping us in the loop regarding our loved one's status. I feel they could make the billing process a little clearer, we had a few points of confusion in the beginning, but other than that we have been completely satisfied.
When I first moved in I didn't know that me being an independent tenant I was not allowed to enter some parts of the building & when I didn't a staff member very rudely told me that I was not allowed. I my refrigerator was extremely loud & I had to beg to get a replacement. If I knew what I know now before I moved here I would have never moved here. It's a depressing place. The fire alarm goes off & I don't know if I should stay in my apartment or leave. They do nothing for the independent people at thanksgiving or Christmas... read more
For a senior living facility, there are no nice touches. WiFi doesn't work, so be prepared to pay for your ow. Food is good, but there is no dining roomSocial and Group events are limited to the assisted living facility on the higher floors. The residents are nice. Fantastic bagels are located within 400 feet, which gives this place an extra star.
Sadly I’ve grown very disappointed in Clara Barton Heritage Home. I realize Covid 19 has changed a lot of the policies and procedures but the management has done nothing to ease family fears and anxieties of when our loved ones will be able to leave the building without having to self quarantine on their return. I know for a fact that staff members take residents to doctor appointments in their personal cars when the facility bus is not available. 3/4 of the staff need training in their area of attitudes. Or how to treat old people.
