Not too crowded when I made a visit to Hero by HG, a sports bar that's a short walk to the American Airlines Center in downtown Dallas!! Gotta love this tender basket as its fan-favorite!!
Dirty, smells bad, unfriendly bartender. Not a great experience and surprising considering its location. I can only assume everything is better during NBA and NHL season. Really disappointed.
We came a few hours before closing. We were seated immediately and placed our order shortly. Our waiter and the manager regularly checked on our table. The waiter knew the menu very well. I enjoyed conversing with Mike, super personable and helpful. The beef empanadas, buffalo popcorn chicken and turtle Sunday were delicious. Highly recommend
Great energy and tasty food! all the staff was very welcoming and the manager Mike was so hospitable & took great care of us. The summer deals are the best in town! Very clean place with good music too. Wasn't my first visit time there and certainly won't be my last
We went in a little more than hour before close on a Friday night (posting closing time on their website is midnight). They were closing early with no explanation & the service was suuuuuuuuper rude! I wanted to love this place after seeing it all over socials & was hoping to try the gluten free chicken tenders but I'm not sure I'll be back after that!
Hero is the perfect place to stop in if you are doing anything at the American Airlines center. The place is massive. I didn't realize it was so big. Service was a little slower at the bar but it was super busy. TVs were everything and lots atmosphere just felt happening! We had the massive tower of Mules. It was so fun and felt never ending! We had some nachos and a spicy chicken sandwich. So good!! I'd for sure be back again soon!
I've been to Hero about 3 times now. Each time, I was visiting from out of town, to go to American Airlines Center. The food and drinks are good. The service is up to par. It's a gigantic place with a fun atmosphere. I will continue to visit whenever I'm in town.
Great accommodations from Miguel. We enjoyed our visit during the Mavs game. The food was great (game food) and actually pretty prompt considering how busy it was.
We got the huevos rancheros, which were very good. I highly recommend them and then for a breakfast option we got mom's omelette with the red potatoes, which was also very good and would recommend.
