I contacted my current lender, a stock brokerage, and asked about refi rates. They could not match what I saw online. I did the same with my credit union - ditto. I went to the Lending Tree (LT) web site and Home Plus Mortgage (HPM) had the best rates. As a result of my LT inquiry, I was contacted by several mortgage brokers, including John Hamidi from HPM. We've refi'd before... the time before this one was a bad experience and we almost got ripped off. That made it all the more delightful to deal with John. He was professional every step of the way, but at the same time friendly and warm. We were confident with his answers to our questions and never once had a problem communicating our questions or needs to him. Plus he got us a great rate and excellent closing costs! Should we need to refi again, this is who we will call

I recently went through Lending Tree to check on refinancing our house. I instantly received an automated email response from John stating he would contact me in the morning. I spoke with John first thing in the morning to discuss my options. John was very informative and detailed in his explanation. After discussing with my wife we decided to go with HomePlus Mortgage. I enjoyed working with John. I got the impression that he was a straight shooter, which is a rare quality in a mortgage broker. He laid out our options and gave me the pros and cons of each one. He didn't try to steer me towards any specific loan. He listened to what our goals were and found a loan that would work for us. The process was very automated and easy, especially considering the mountains of documentation most lenders require these days. I would definitely recommend John to a friend of family member. Thanks
