This is one of the 2 best tasting chicken place in DC. Their chicken is always moist and the original hot honey chicken has the best taste ever. The only thing that that they could improve is having handmade biscuits instead of tge rolls they have now. The dessert (pies) are also excellent. I always but extra hot honey sauces.

This place blew me AWAY! The hot honey that is incorporated into many of the entrées and sides is worth the hype! The Honeymoon Chicken bucket is a MUST - perfectly fried, seasoned...and that hot honey drizzle on top is to die for! And I didn't even consider myself a fan of fried chicken! Wow...definitely best fried chicken I've ever had - the hot honey sauce definitely elevates it and the skin is super crispy.The bucket serving was large and they had huge pieces of chicken in them. The honey butter rolls were so soft and buttery and I could've inhaled multiple. The chicken tenders were thick and paired so nice with their sauces! I'm hesitant to write this glowing review because I don't want to jinx myself, but the food and service here truly deserve it! The chicken, rolls, desserts, etc...are amazing, and the staff is nice and friendly. However, my 5-star rating is held back by one issue: the flies outside. I've dined at many restaurants in DC, but never encountered a fly problem like this. Perhaps it's the location. I've been here before and previously gave it 5 stars but something was off about this second time. We sat outside and were still met with prompt service but the flies made it so we had to keep them off our food which did not make it a super relaxing environment. In terms of the food, the portion sizes were much smaller than my previous visit and lacked some flavor and seasoning. My friends and I went to Honeymoon Chicken after hearing my friend talk about seeing the pictures of the food, and we were not disappointed! The restaurant had a good amount of seating options with tables and booths, and was decorated with a cute retro diner vibe. This might be my favorite chicken sandwich in the area! We got here on a weekday around 8 PM and it wasn't too crowded, there was plenty of seating both inside and outside. I ordered the hot honey dipped chicken sandwich and it was really good. The chicken was tender and the flavors were amazing. The staff was extremely friendly and kept checking in on us. I will definitely be back!

Simply Delicious. Ordered to go when I was in the area. I would definitely recommend giving them a try. Service was good. Normal wait for your food. Parking could be better but you're in DC.

Couldn't eat much (Brussels sprouts and fries) but what I could I was very good...and since my friend literally talked about this place for two weeks to make sure I planned to take her when we were in the city together AND was still happy after all her food (she little, but goes big back for this place)...a good review is due! Did an order online, but it wasn't ready when we arrived but it didn't take forever... so no love lost at all. Do wish there were more options for me and the gluten free...
