The lobby and common areas, which recently have been renovated, were excellent. The staff were courteous and responsive, although the hotel appeared to be short-staffed at times. The room, however, was quite tired with old carpet and wallpaper, furniture that looked as if it were second-hand, and even peeling paint on the walls. In order to get even somewhat hot water, both the sink and shower faucets both needed to run for several minutes. The hotel and grounds were amazing, and the staff was very friendly.
Stores open late
Beautiful older hotel on Coronado. It is in a great location - close to restaurants and shops on Orange Ave. Sunset views are spectacular! It is expensive and everything is pricey. The bathroom shower/tub should be better if you are spending $$$$ - we had to let the water run at least 2 minutes until warm water came out.
