Please be warned! If you really care about your fur babies... Do not come here Huron Animal Hospital let me and my sweet baby dog down when she needed them most. If you are looking for a place that can give shots and diagnose worms, then this is the place to go. However, if it is anything serious and you love your baby. Get a second opinion, Better yet save your animals life and get a different vet. They dropped the ball and now all I have left are tears and sweet memories of my little girl... I let everyone I know that h... read more
They had NO idea what was wrong with my baby girl. That's all they are concerned about is getting paid for each and every trip. My kitty was suffering for over 2 months I wanted answers and they took me broke trying to save her. I just wanted one more test (an ultrasound) to find out exactly what was going on inside her, but the doctor was reluctant on doing it and informed me that it would cost about $350 more. It is extremely hard to make that final decision on putting your pet down without knowing what exactly is wron... read more
I liked bringing my dog here even though it seems like they charge almost double for puppy vaccinations. However, after they misdiagnosed my dog I started to have issues with them. My dog was miserable and vomiting to no end. We brought him in and they said it was a belly ache. The next day he was worse. I called back and they said that he needed to come back in but I needed to pay for the previous visit. I was a little irritated because it was obviously not a belly ache so now I was being charged twice for their mistake. Un... read more
They are very reasonable priced, Dr. Welling has great and always take excellent care of my dogs. I thought I will be a forever client and I would have strongly recommend them three years ago but not any more. My last few visits were the worst I've had anywhere in my life. The front end staff just doesn't seem to care about customer service anymore. They were rude & disrespectful to me. I will be looking for a new veterinary clinic who care about me as a client as much as they do my pets.
Vets are OK but if you dare try to get you pet's prescription through an online service Huron Animal Hospital is very uncooperative and tells you they won't authorize future 3rd-party refills unless you have additional blood work done, and even if the pet is not due for the blood work. Also, their web site has been down for months so you can't find any information on them.
Our family had been using Huron Animal Hospital since the late 90s, but lately it seems that the service has gone downhill. My German Shepherd had been going to Huron since he was a puppy and his last checkup was at 9 years old. The main reason we took him in was just for annual shots, but they also charge you the checkup fee and I feel like for the fee that is charged, they should do a much more thorough checkup. They basically glanced in his eyes/ears and didn't even listen to his heart. You would expect/hope for more than... read more
I am very disappointed with this practice. My family and I have been clients for over three years and have recently been treated very poorly. My mother's dog had been very sick and the vet thought it was kidney failure and sent in a urine sample only to check the kidney levels. They did not think to do a full scope analysis in order to rule out other alternatives. After the vet called to say the dog was probably in kidney failure, my mom had to call in order to find out what normal levels were and realized the dog's leve... read more
Not impressed. My 10 week old bengal kitten had the shits, took him in to the Huron Animal Hospital and they gave me Flagyl without looking at the little guy's poops to find out what bug he had. The vet asked me to bring in a sample in a couple days and I gladly obliged as Squirts McGee wasn't getting any better. Again without even looking at his poops they prescribed me another medicine (panacure) and sent me on my way. At this point I'm $150 deep in medicine that is not working, and still my 3 lb kitten is shitting his b... read more
