I "reserved" a 10x10 unit a week in advance of my move on their website to ensure that I would have a space. I received a call from the manager following up to confirm I wanted the unit, and asking when I plan to come in to sign the contract. I told him I would come up in three days. When I arrived at the office, they informed me they gave my spot away and could only offer a 5x12 unit on the corner of the building, and so their uneven angles in the unit, which made it somewhat pointless for storing large items like furniture... read more

Horrible service the really heavy guy who works there is a complete a hole and also sneakily lives there at night they overcharged me for the month they tried to charge me close to $500 for a 10x10 when it should have only been about half that since that's what we agreed upon and that's what I paid but then since I didn't pay the $500 for one month mind you they locked my storage out that guy is a crook avoid at all costs
Awful company poor customer service ignored multiple calls. I do not recommend at all

One star for how nice one of the employee was but also because you can't leave a zero star review here. To keep it short, my keypad code was not activated correctly which cost me an extra $300 in hiring movers and more importantly, SOMEONE STOLE FROM MY LOCKED UNIT. Someone was able to get into my unit and steal two boxes worth of belongings. This used to be a nice storage facility, which I assume was owned by someone local - it had an old-school vibe from when everything in this country wasn't so corporatized. It then sold a few years ago to a national company, at which point rates immediately went up by about 20%. And from my recent visit (the first since the place changed ownership), it appears to have declined during this time. The absolute worst storage in San Francisco. Rates keep going up and now the keypad doesn't work and there's usually no one around watching the place. The place is like an open door storage with no security or care at all. Stay away from this sh*thole
I had been with this storage facility for the last four years back when it was 19th ave storage. I was a college student and the people understood good customer service. I ended up staying with them up until istorage took over. They started charging an insurance fee on top of the monthly unit rental. Increased my fees more than 70% over the last two years. I had a terrible experience with this iStorage location. Initially I booked a unit online with the first month free. When I visited the location, I was moved to a bigger unit since the one I booked would have been difficult to load/unload. I confirmed multiple times with the manager that the first month(November) would still remain free. After moving in, I was charged for the first month.
