The platform is good and I recommend it to many people.
It’s great that they don’t charge a maintenance fee for an IRA. Decent amount of coins. Would love to have $LUNA (Terra) Transaction fees are 1% which is okay given you don’t have to report your transactions on your taxes which is the main issue with non IRA accounts. Main drawback is all trades are market price. No stops or limit orders.
The experience thus far has been fairly smooth. This would be a 5-star rating if it were not for the 3+ week fund transfer timeline (delays on iTrust's side, not Vanguard who was transferring the funds).
Overall - pretty good. Account establishment is a bit labored. Takes about a day each time you try to communicate with Itrust as email back and forth is the only way. Kind of like communicating with the Mars Rover. Took me about 9 days to get 2 Roths and 2 traditional IRAs set up for me and my wife and funds moved from our existing custodian (only partial transfers) so we could trade in crypto. The process to transfer and set up the account was easy. The dashboard is much easier than lots of other crypto sites I have used.
Crypto and crypto IRA platforms generally suck compared to the main stock platforms; they are way more expensive for way less functionality and services. We suck it up because of the massive potential. Compared only to crypto IRAs, iTrustCapital appears to offer the best bang for the lowest amount of bucks -- which is still an outrageous amount of bucks. I am a new account holder. The account application process is in need of improvement. The lack of detailed instructions on completing the IRA Transfer Form caused confusion and needless delays. My impression is that professionalism at iTrust Capital is less than desirable. I vacillated between giving 3 or 4 stars, but settled on 4 because my level of experience with the company is low.
