This was the second time my wife have been to J-prime. The first time we went was for our anniversary and we had an amazing experience. Great service food was great and made us very excited to go back. But the second time we went was for my wife’s 30th birthday. Happy Hour and dinner on a surprisingly busy Sunday night. Enjoyed some of the new bar bites as well as traditional salads and steaks. Service was not as attentive as usual—possibly new and overwhelmed with number of customers on a Sunday.
Food was good as usual. Service was questionable, was some sort of teamwork that didn’t work well. Also, sat upstairs which was not desirable
Second Saturday night dinner this month Music wasn’t music. All you could hear was the boom of the bass. Not elegant dining at all. More like a squat and cobble at a high price Food was barely warm even though it was delicious Not what you should expect from a high dollar restaurant
As it was Father's Day, the restaurant was crowded, but there were a lot of waiters/staff. I had thought there was a dress code, but there were some adults walking around in jeans shorts. To start with, the petite crepe is beyond small; it's a minute and dry crepe with what appeared to be a piece of a diced tomato on it. The noise level was uncomfortable. Why do they have a dress code that they don’t enforce?
I was highly disappointed that the lamb lollipops and the bone in steak was so highly seasoned that it was so salty. The ambience and the waiter were fantastic, and the Pinot noir was the best I’ve tasted.
The kitchen could not prepare our steak properly after two tries. That was very disappointing. The service was excellent though.
I was disappointed with the Mother's Day experience, which was a preset menu. After ordering they notified us that they had run out of a certain side, but they gave us other options. We were almost done with our entre when they brought the substitute side. I wished they would have brought the substitute side at the same time they brought out the entre.
