Well this time wasn't as nice as last time. Not talking about food, food is always great. It's the noise! They have a bar with TVs on which I believe wasn't there last year and they had a room just curtained off next to us holding a business dinner complete with a microphone so you could hear every word. That room needs a soundproof door. We went there to celebrate my wife's birthday. Again, the food was fabulous, but the ambiance was not conducive for a romantic dinner. It's possible we may not go again.
Great Service and atmosphere. We love how they wnhance an special moment.
We love J-Prime. Last night they were just not up to standard. We asked for our favorite server in the bar and they would not accommodate us. We then got an empty shrimp cocktail and cocktail sauce spilled all over us. Neither the server or bidder alerted a manager. I finally flagged one down. They comped a bottle of wine which was great but our server had no personality and was unable to open a bottle of wine without assistance. Good was great as always, but service was not what it should be on an almost $1K check.
Service took a long time. Food was good. 30 mins for drinks. Not worth the price if your looking for a nice date night
Service was a bit off this visit. Brought my colleague out for him to experience a restaurant we love.
We go to J Prime about 2-3 times a month. This was a special occasion, so it was only natural to go there! We sat in the back for the first time. The music was so incredibly loud, we had to shout across the table at one another!! There was a very large gentleman who I presume was a manager. We asked him if he could kindly turn the volume down on the music His response was, “The owner likes it loud for the atmosphere.” We were not the only table to ask it to be turned down! Finally kid free for an evening and I was looking forward to a romantic dinner, but instead found myself shouting across the table, unable to hear any conversation over the club music thumping through the restaurant. I asked the server and maître d’ if it could be lowered a bit, and they tried, but said management likes the vibe. The food is always amazing and we’ve never experienced an issue here before. Maybe tonight was just a fluke?
Our server was not the best we’ve had this particular night. Restaurant seemed a bit louder with table conversations. Drink orders were slower than I’d like as well
It had been a while since we had enjoyed the Happy Hour at J Prime, so we made a reservation and went in. They now call it Social Hour and the menu has changed but still a good choice. But we had the strangest experience with service. We initially had a female waitress who was quite pleasant initially but then the experienced turned adversarial for no apparent reason and then she was "reassigned" (thank goodness!).
