Have been here many times but this time seemed a bit more chaotic for Valentine’s Day. There was a wait even though I had a reservation. When we got our meals our steaks were a bit over cooked despite ordering them medium rare. The menu for Valentine’s Day was a bit over priced given the options given and you do not get the usual bread and lemon ice cream. The chocolate mousse cake we ordered for dessert was horrible and not very tasteful. Would not recommend for a Valentine’s Day dinner.
Vibes, drinks, and service were immaculate. I just wish the food was a bit better but it was still a very enjoyable dinner on valentine’s day.
My husband and I frequent fine dining multiple times a month, it never worked for us to do JPrime and the people we knew had spoke positive things. I was overall dissatisfied with the experience. Food- cons- Ceasar Salad was tiny and was served lukewarm. My mocktail tasted like lemonade, gross! We asked for bread multiple times (3 plus- over 20 minutes) before we got it. We always love coming here because it’s usually consistent. However, last night we had really slow service. Our waiter had such a dry personality and honestly was just more of an order taker. We are used to exceptional service here and last night was definitely not the normal. Our dinner also lasted about 3 1/2 hours when we should’ve been done in two that was mostly because of the slow service to pick up plates and course out our meal. J Prime is and has been my favorite restaurant for years. I frequent this establishment regularly but I have to say, the waitress I had was terrible. She was not attentive, kept leaving us to talk and laugh with other employees that were actually working, and I’m confident our food was ready but she did not bring it out fresh. My wife and I go to J prime a few times a year and usually have a great experience. Reservations were running late and we ended up having to take a seat at the bar after waiting 15 minutes past our reservation. Staff was very polite but service was slow, took 20 Minutes to get our drinks and almost an hour to get our food after ordering.
Food was delivered cold like it was sitting in the kitchen too long bacon wasn’t cook over all not a great quality of stake.
It took 30 mins to get our table, we had reservations for 8pm, we didn’t eat dinner till 9:30, Way too late! The food was good but took too long to get it! Don’t think I would go here again. They were busy Saturday, but should bot take this long! Too many other steak places in town, and prices are high for what you get.
The service was great. Our server was very attentive, and always asked if we needed anything. However, both our appetizer and entree were severely under-seasoned. For the price of our tomahawk steak, we expected to at least have it seasoned.
