Not a Jandy just received the 2-2.5 check valvethere is zero markings on it that say Jandy.
Not really Jandy Brand was listed as Jandy but it clearly is not. Does not look like photos in the listing and paper in the box says Consilidated Manufacturing Inc. paid premium Jandy price for generic part.
Check valve does not check The media could not be loaded. Valve leaks like a sieve.
Why do these check valve leak by the flapper seal? An Amazon supplier from FL shipped me a USED Jandy check valve.This is a used 1.5 -2” valve that was packaged in a brown envelope, no documentation, or packing. It was dirty and leaks. I’m returning it and hope I get a NEW Jandy valve that doesn’t leak.UPDATE:I returned the valve and the replacement came today, it also leaks past the spring loaded flapper seal. This is NOT a complete valve. This is a a valve body ONLY, not a complete valve with internal parts and cover.
Broke in less then a season Installed at the end of summer, when to open the pool today 13-03-22 and noticed rust and the valve moving lose inside the unit. Not worth the money considering it rusted in one winter without water.
Counterfeit Jandy These are not Jandy brand. Chinese knock offs. If you’re replacing the inside only the flap is larger than Jandy and developed leak. They seem like decent quality if you’re replacing the entire housing. May work. I just replaced guts and now unfortunately too late to return
Switcheroo. Received a CMP check valve at a Jandy price. Item received is not a Jandy product as advertised. Check valve is made by CMP but sold at a Jandy price. The CMP name and product code are stamped in the valve on the bottom. Will be returning.
Does not last The only positive about this valve is that it's easy to install. A really expensive item. Worst of all it's leaking already! It is supposed to prevent water from a raised spa to drain into the pool but it only help up for a few months.
