First I booked a few days ago and when I came in with my guests, we were seated in the worse place of the entire restaurant. And there were so many boots and other seats available at the time. When I kindly ask to change our seats the guy said sorry those seats are “booked”!!!!’!!-and are for other guests!!!??? And 10 minutes later, 2 girls got to sit there. Everyone at the hostess stand was very pleasant and polite. Our server Catherine, tried to charge us for premium liquor when we requested the house liquor. Our appetizers took over 35 minutes to arrive. Catherine was not replenishing our water and soft drinks. We would have ordered dinner but stopped with appetizers because the service was so poor. Bad service, slow to deliver food and we ordered salad pasta and hummus and took 40 mins to eat. changed our server without telling us, charged for every little add without telling us of the up charge($4 for extra pita chips 🙄) I don’t care about the charge just communicate. Servers stand over you while you are paying a tipping. Receipt emailed but not itemized, we felt over charged but couldn’t reconcile. Not enjoyable.

Was so looking forward to the bone and ribeye steak. Last time we had it, two years ago it was amazing! What a huge disappointment. It was gristly, undercooked, under seasoned and overpriced. Then when they took it off the bill, after I’d already sent it back once to try and fix it, they apologized and asked what we would like for dessert. We have been to Joeys Newport many times. But sadly this time the experience was definitely not as good as it has been in the past. We ordered the house salads and asked for a light toss. They came to us drenched 😡. Our server took them off the bill. I normally love the herb crust salmon but the veggies were really too crispy……..not cooked enough, and my meal was lukewarm. My friend ordered the mini steak French Dips. The meal came COLD, including the French fries, and it took them at least 25 minutes to bring a replacement... read more

The hosts are rude. Especially the young, short,dark wavy haired Latina. Kept on giving me weird looks and fighting to me about the table when almost each table was empty yesterday at 12pm. Made a big deal about sitting on a high top when all were vacant and we had a reservation

I liked the restaurant concept…the look and the layout. The waitstaff was great but the service was very very slow (drinks and food) and the music was too loud. The piece of sea bass we had was inedible. The fish was on the old side and mushy. Fries were good and so was the Mediterranean bowl and tuna roll. But the noise level and the bad expensive fish (sea bass) makes it so we won’t go back

The experience of this last Sunday was horrible, when I arrived at the restaurant the hostess didn't look at me, she was super rude, she offered me a glass of champagne and didn't look me when giving it , I was already stressed, the waitresses were ok but the music was super loud, I felt like I was in a bar, not a restaurant, there are definitely people who shouldn't be on the front line of a business, and they should take action because they end up losing customers!! Check your check. The server brought us two items we didn’t order. He took those items back and brought us what we ordered, but our check included the returned items! Double billing.
