Quite disappointed with the service, having to ask multiple times for water, being served extra dishes we didn't order... Overall a poor service. The food was great though.

The food was good, and the bartender really made up for the poor service at the door. We had booked for the lounge but were brought to the dining area. When we mentioned this to the woman seating us, she snapped that she “doesn’t do the seating” and that we’d have to speak to the host. No problem — we did. We were then told that seating “isn’t promised, just a suggestion,” which I understand. Was visiting from out of town and would not go back unless If service is something that is taken more seriously. We waited almost 50 minutes for our food to arrive, had to flag our host down multiple times to check into the food, had to flag multiple times to get water refilled, and even had to wait 15 min for the bill. Very poor service.

Parmesan fries and sushi cone both served cold so they had to be sent back. Wine selection sad. How about we add some Italian cabernets to replace the US ones that are no longer available. Lettuce wraps were very good, little less chicken in the mix and so a bit disappointed in the portion of chicken in chicken lettuce wraps, tuna salad very good, poke bowl very good...

Arrived with a reservation from open table and still waited over 30min after the time of our reservation because the hostesses “made a mistake sitting another group instead of us”. After we were finally brought to our table, we waited another 20min before our server came by. This was after I reached out to another server and asked “do we have a server”? I like Joey’s. The staff if friendly and helpful but perhaps a little too friendly. The restaurant servers work within a pod which meant that twice, with 3 different servers, we were asked about our meals. Just too many people asking the same questions. Simplify! It’s not pleasant to be interrupted so often during a meal.

This is overall a fun place to go for a meal. Fairly large restaurant with lots of young servers, and the food is generally quite good. Juliette and Nick provided great service at two different occasions, but we were very disappointed by our dinner here. We were staying in a hotel close by so ate at this restaurant five times in a row as the food had not disappointed … until this dinner. My server kept wanting to remove items that I hadn’t finished with yet. I think she thought this was good service.She brought the steak before I’d finished my first course. Doesn’t she know that it takes longer to eat the Szechuen lettuce rolls? I asked for extra vegetables with my steak as I didn’t want the frites. The vegetables are arugula and cherry tomatoes. I got a big pile of arugula with way too much dressing on it and I think only two cherry tomatoes. The steak wasn’t of the highest quality that I expect from Joeys.... read more

One thing the lighting is TOO dark slightly brighter would be so amazing!! Hope you will consider this both locations are too dark !! Rideau is slightly better due to outdoor lights on the street
