Had to ask for candle to be lit, needed more time with and explanation of menu. Food good
This was not the experience we were hoping for our daughter’s 16th bday. A solid restaurant but had a miss last evening.
Ordered the ahi tuna salad and got it served with an insect in it. Disgusting!!
Tip levels should start at 15%, not 18%. I don’t think there is an option to customize either but not sure. Food prep inconsistent. The burger and fries were great, the Mes bowl as not. ( overly spiced and rice was clumpy). service was very average.
Let me preface this by the fact that I worked in The service industry for 15 plus years. Everything was great, it’s just their hostess, she called herself a team leader, well she just added drama where there really didn’t need to be any. We got there on time for Mother’s Day dinner but for some reason with 9 tables open and full wait staff setting the tables. We were asked to sit and wait. Food and ambience were nice but service was awful. The hostess pointed out when I should go instead of walking me there. Our server didn’t say hello or welcome or introduce herself - she just showed up three or four times and said «are you ready to order» . They changed servers a few times so part of our order was missed and we had to ask twice before cancelling it because it was too late and the second server didn’t enter it in to the system either.
Our reservation was at 8:30. We were there at 8:20 and they had us wait until 8:50 before seating us. The hosts sat everyone before us even people who came in later. Then when our food came I ordered the classic steak and my steak was not hot. It was obvious that it was sitting on the table for a while before being served to me. We made a reservation for 7pm, we did not get seated until 7:40. When we asked why we were being made to wait the hostess said "we had a lot of walk-ins". I think it's unacceptable to make someone who has a reservation wait 40 minutes to sit at their table.
