We were first introduced to Joey restaurants after enjoying a fantastic dinner at Joey on King in Toronto, ON. The meal was a bit bland, the cocktails lacking creativity for the most part, and service that night was rushed and distracted.
Great location but service was very slow and portions to cost was poor. Wouldn't recommend.
Service and location are excellent. Salad was super small so be aware when you order.
It was just too loud and my friends were so overstimulated we ended just sitting in silence
I have been dining at Joey‘s for years. They have always removed the shrimp from the fish tacos to accommodate my shellfish allergy (as early as last week at Yorkdale location). I was advised that that wasn’t a possibility and that never should happen. It was against Code . I was offered the cauliflower tacos as a substitute and did not enjoy my meal. I had high hopes for this restaurant, and while some aspects of the meal were good, overall the experience was disappointing. The food itself tasted fine, but the steak was served at the wrong doneness and was cold when it arrived. The drinks were another letdown. The beer came out warm, not chilled, and when I asked to have it replaced, the server didn’t make much of an effort to fix the issue.
