Get directionsI knew I should've made the trip to Kenny & Ziggy's...but I figured I'd give Katz's a try. Major disappointment. I started off with the matzo ball soup. The soup was not bad maybe a drop salty. The matzo ball itself was dry. I then had the corned beef sandwich on rye bread. To start, I told them I did not want the coleslaw on the sandwich, so they brought me the sandwich with the coleslaw on it lol. I asked to have it sent back and they just scraped it off. So the rye bread is too thick, and the corned beef was not your typi... read more
This was our first visit here. Let me start by saying the staff was excellent. The Hostess, our waitress, and the manager were all great. Unfortunately, that's where the positive aspect of our visit ends. My wife wanted Eggs Benedict, they have Texas Style Eggs Benedict on the menu, which, as you could probably guess means it came with brisket, so she asked them to hold the brisket. She also ordered a side of matzo ball soup. The soup was incredibly salty. The Eggs Benedict ingredients seemed fresh however the preparation wa... read more
The worst sandwich I think I ever had. It was the monte cristo. I was so disappointed.
Service is extremely poor; waited over 25 minutes for a table ( was told 15 minutes). Waited another 10 minutes at a table with no waiter coming by to even take drink orders. Tables that were seated after us being served first were enough for us to just walk out. If you don't have kids and can sit at the bar, you will at least get served. If you have kids, don't bother with this place unless you're feeling lucky.
The absolute worst. Been getting food from here for over a year and almost 50% of the time the order is wrong. Then they act like it's your fault (or the drivers if you ordered through an app). Zero accountability and have lost hundreds in unrefunded food.
Have been there several times...not a fan! Very well mismanaged....last time we got our order wrong and had to wait a long time..the manager was sitting a couple of tables away and fid not show any effort in helping the situation. We are used to the excellent food and service at their Montrose location. I even suggested to management that they should close the Shenandoah location. Nothing to say about their ambiance ....
Disappointed. I grew up right across the bridge from New York City and worked in the city later in life. I have been to every kind of deli there is and especially Jewish delis. This is none of those! Sure the sandwiches have similar names and ingredients, but its not that good. If you've never been to the NYC area, you would never know. Asked for a turkey, cole slaw, and russian on rye = They gave me a rueben with corned beef. The waiter did the best to fix it and I got = corned beef, cole slaw, russian on rye. The manag... read more
Totally unremarkable. I got the Katz Pride Klassic Corned beef, which was flavorless in both the meat and Rye bread. My son got the kids chicken sandwich, and when I asked him how it was, he said it tasted like bread. My sandwich waited on the counter for a full five minutes before it was brought to me. The pickle was extremely acidic, and inedible. As a native New Yorker, I know good corned beef and Jewish Rye when I taste it, but you won't find it here. I would call this a "faux" New Yotk Deli, and not genuine in any... read more
Went in today. It has been a while. I had the Reuben on rye. I was shocked that the meat had been cut in half. Nothing like the pictures they have of it. You would think for the price they wouldn't shrinkflation it. Shame on them.
