Our food got bussed away while I was in the bathroom with my young son. That threw off my son and he refused to eat after that. Told the manager that and she simply asked if we wanted a to-go box. The waitress never even acknowledged what happened. Full price with a straight face after that. Beware
The mediocrity was almost unbearable. The staff were great but the food left everything to be desired. Also it took forever to get our food. Won't be back so many other better options
I was hoping for half a sandwich and soup. But it's specified times which I fill is not customer friendly. I ended up ordering the bowl of matzo ball soup. I was disappointed! Way too salty and not enough broth for the abundance of noodles - plus the matzo balls were heavy instead of light as I'm used too. Not sure I'll comeback when I visit Houston again.

Soooo much money for sandwiches that were less than mediocre. They messed up our order too. At least the servers were nice.
Just left this location. Got a to go order. And I think his name is Nathan. I'm unsure. Kid with curly hair. They had me waiting over 25 min for a frozen marg and I kindly asked if it was still coming, since he was the one who took my order and he, in a mean way said "I'm not the bartender go over there" In a rude tone after telling me to wait where I was standing originally. Bad way to speak to your customers who was just kindly asking a question.
Went to this restaurant at 2:35 pm, 03/02/2026. We were immediately seated by an employee. That was the last person we saw. We were totally ignored by the entire wait staff. After 15 minutes, we left the restaurant and went to another restaurant nearby. Appears Katz's is always open, but not ready for business. Let me start off by the food is amazing. Props to the cooks. However the service is trash. The server didn't smile all, very confrontational when we asked for things and had us pay the bill before we even got the desserts. The manager did stop by the table but not too long after she was gossiping right behind us about a server. Absolutely wild.
We followed in a family leaving the restaurant and the hostess turned her back on us and shut the door, then went to their table at the front and started cleaning it as we waited at the hostess station. A server and manager came over saying she'd be with us soon. NP- a little odd, as it was pretty obvious she'd seen us but nbd, we'd really wanted to try this place after living here so long.
